Well something good has actually happened today, got a letter from HMRC, due a tax rebate :j :j :j

From 2006!! The other good news is it had my new address on the letter, so I'm assuming that means all my details from my maternity allowance forms have been updated onto the system and they're just running behind with sending out letters. It's not due in my account until the 7th but I thought I'd have had confirmation by now, confirming the date etc, but heard nothing and when I did phone it was a total nightmare, so this has given me a bit more confidence.

A lot happier today :) Hope everyone else is well xxxx

  • That's great news Gilly :j

I'm joint 2nd after the boldies :j It seems like I hovered at about 10th for ages and then all of a sudden I'm up near the top :D 4 more sleeps or should I say none-sleeps as I mainly lie awake feeling sorry for myself!

Does it not feel weird to know by the 7th of December you'l actually have your baby? It annoys me I don't know when my little monster is arriving but at the same time I think I'd be freaking out if I did know the exact date.

Had a dream last night when he was born, turned out to be a she. I woke up feeling really upset, how stupid :o

:rotfl: Lucy tenner better in your pocket than theirs :D I just want my maternity allowance sorted now, I'm panicking slightly because even though I know I'm entitled and I've worked enough etc have the proof, there's a little part of me saying "oh maybe they'l refuse you" :o how stupid.

  • YAY to tax rebates and bonuses :j Enjoy :D
I waited and waited for my first to pop out(10 days late),2nd one ignored due date and came out 3 months early then was given a date for my third at my 20 week appointment so was on countdown really early on.
With this bump I've been told I had to wait to see if the placenta moved at my 36 week scan then if it hadn't I'd get a date.Went to the appt on thurs, placenta moved so midwife said it'd be natural and could be as far as 2nd week of Jan(42 weeks) and me and hubby sat there thinking right ok.Waited to see cons for an hour who then said due to bleeding and the placenta coming away they wanted me in on the 19th to be induced,if the pessary doesn't work I'll have a section that night. So then we were .
I really don't know which I prefer tbh... the waiting for it to happen or the knowing you have X days :p

I think both are as scary as each other. The thought of not knowing scares me because it's my first I don't really know what to expect, I'm going in completely open minded though, and every little twinge I think I'll be "oooh is this is starting" and I am a little bit excited about it (not sure if this makes me crazy or not)

but then if I did have a date I think I'd be crapping my pants, and not sleep for a bout a week, for worrying about it :o

    You can't win!

  • Arrrghh, first after the boldies! And yet, I doubt very much that I'll be giving birth on the 6th. This baby just seems far too comfortable to go anywhere for a while. I hope I'm wrong.
