Ginvst-that is excellent news. Glad all is well and that your 2 little babies are thriving.
I've been such a lazy cow today. I've had no energy and have just been slobbing out and eating anything in sight. I really need to start shopping but do not know where to start. All I currently have is 2 packs of nappies, 3 bottles and a sleepsuit. I need to get my butt in gear.

I've been like that today Keely, I've had period like pains in my back and stomach and thought that this was it. Not according to the hospital though. I had a pre op assessment this afternoon so they checked me and said I'm not in labour

Aaah, BM don't be so tough on yourself I feel really hormonal and irrational atm and I'm struggling not to bite the head off anyone who speaks to me. I can't be bothered with anyone or anything. Since starting my mat leave stupid little things are bothering me, like we borrowed my sister's carpet cleaner and it was in our dining room waiting to be returned. OH was going to take it tomorrow, and I know he would have done, but today it was really getting on my nerves. So I got myself in a right fettle, lugged it out to the car and shoved it in the back seat, making a mess of my freshly valeted car, drove down to my sister's and gave it back. OH gave me a lecture when he came home, but I felt better once it was gone otherwise I might have kicked it

Just wondering when we usually have our next bloods taken? I am quite shocked re my iron levels as they were low when I was having my son. Plus my platelet count is low side of normal so would they re test for that at another point? Thanks in advance xxx

I think mine were redone at 34? Then again to check something to do with my iron, and she wants another set monday at 36! Think my midwife is a vampire!

Am sat in the station car park waiting for the other half, and some !!!! just smacked his car door into mine, 3 times! Luckily hitting the mirror not the paintwork or i'd've been out like a shot! Gave him my death glare instead, don't think he noticed we were in it? I know they're small spaces, but we're well over and it was a damn smart car!

Some crisps,cereal bars,flapjacks that kind of thing

I had my bloods redone at 28, and i'm not aware they will be redone again now- doesnt say anything about retests in my appointment guidelines.
I guess maybe it is different if there were issues with results in previous tests, but fingers crossed, so far all my tests have been fine.

I sent DH last night to go on a supply hunt for the hospital bag he is packing. He has returned with:

5 little pots of chopped fruit (like you put in packed lunches), these are mainly for me, as i thought i might fancy something fresh and juicy tasting.

4 packs of cereal bars of different varieties

a bag of opal fruits

a bag of jelly babies

a couple of bags of nuts

3 x 6 packs of different fruit juice cartons with straws

A box of nice choccies to have out for the m/w's and docs to raid as a bribe to get them to visit more often!!

If its not too much of a rush when the time comes, i'll try to make sure he has a fresh sandwich to bring for him as well.

I guess there could healthier stuff to bring, but the m/w at our antenatal class said dont bother with "diet" or "low fat" anything as you need all the energy you can get, and specifically said she would be forcibly doling out glucose tablets if she found people without supplies or with low energy diet food!

Hi all !

Been AWOL for a few days - just have not had to time for the internet and I realised how much I missed posting and reading in here!

Got 5 working days left at work - eeek!

Spent the night researching oils so I can use aromatherapy during labour and have figured out the oils I think I want but now have no idea which place is best to get them! Prices online vary so much from one product to the next and im fed up of looking. If anyone knows the best place to buy them then please do share
