My sleeping pattern is so out of whack it's unreal. Didn't get up until 12 o clock  didn't go to bed til 5 though.

It'l happen soon enough eyeliner have you had a sweep or anything?

  • Mama - I had most of that about two weeks ago, called m/w and she said it was my body preparing for labour. I would call your m/w unit if worried.

Thanks Princess, I feel better now I've distracted myself. Still got tummy ache, but haven't been to the toilet in nearly a week I'm probably in labour to have that!

When you have more than one labour symptom, you just panic & that makes it worse! I was SO dizzy!

OH was useless, he popped back for lunch (not especially) and I told him, he said 'u best keep still & stop wobbling about. He can't come out yet it's too early, he'll be short or stupid or both'

    :eek::rotfl:!!!!!!! MEN!!!!!

Thanks, that made me feel SO much better, not only was I scared about baby coming & not being ready, it's would be my fault if there were any problems! Useless plonker!

No, got MW tomorrow, will see what she says, but last app was at 37 weeks and had some show then, but everything was normal then. Supposed to have MW every other week, but everything been messed up due to her being on holiday for a week then off ill for another.

Ask for one tomorrow, all they can do is say no I guess! It might get things started :)

  • True.

MIL is convinced that when I go tomorrow she'll turn round and go "Oh dear, go on up to the hospital right now and we'll get you induced!" and when I get the slightest twinge, they'll let me in right away, she doesn't understand the whole having to wait and call back as things progress thing.

If only that's how it worked :rotfl: anyway you wouldn't want to be in hospital from the slightest twinge, you could be there for a week

  • I'd have been there for two weeks now! She seems to think that because yesterday was my date, then the baby is late, so should be induced straight away.

I better go and do something, been online since about half 9-ish.

  • I was wondering where Missy was too - hope all is well.

Hope those of you having twinges and sleepless nights are managing to chill out?

I'm good, just had to stroll up to the post office collection place and it took me aaaaages. I'm such a slow coach these days. My pelvis is a little sore too. I need to get back to swimming as I feel that doing breast stroke and getting some movement in my hips will be a right treat. I won't have the car until next week though so it'll have to wait til then.

We had our last NCT class last night (well there's a breastfeeding sesh next week but that's kind of separate) - was quite sad it'd all ended. Really enjoyed it actually and think that there will be about 5 of us girls (out of 8 couples) who will likely stay in touch. NHS ones start this Thursday morning, will be interesting to see how they are in comparison. Midwife is coming to do 36 week check at my flat as part of the homebirth prep visit on Friday. It's all becoming more and more real - eeeeek!

I seem to have really really really mild morning sickness again. I just feel a bit queasy all the time and if I get too hungry I feel like I might topple over or just crumble down in a heap! Bump has been REALLY wiggly for the past few days too, hope that little bubba is staying head-down!

Are any of you going for a wax before the big event? I'm not so great (ie v wimpy) when it comes to waxing, but I think it'd give the best result IYSWIM. I usually just use Nair/Immac at home. Thing is (TMI alert) my bits seem to have, erm, enlarged since being preggers and I'm worried about flapping around the sides (literally) of my pants, plus its everso, erm, juicey down there so I don't want to be, erm damp when they do it............................. :embarasse

Buggger, I was going to ask you ladies something else then, but I've forgotten now...

I'm growing my legs now &planning to get both done 1st week of Dec, but I did say that last time & never got round to it (I did shave legs before going in!) But left a jungle down there!

I am the same, bigger & flappier!! I'd wear a liner there & pop to the toilet when your there.

If you just get the sides done, u cud leave liner in? Deffo don't get a Brazillian! :rotfl:I think I'll just get basic bikini + strip off the top for poss c-section.

Could borrow OH's head shaver to get it all down to a no 2/3! :rotfl:

    Morning all!

Sorry to hear so many of you had a bad nights sleep.

Ladies, I'd be interested in any advice or info you have on what to look for when choosing a cotbed matress as I believe there are lots of different types.

I was advised to avoid a foam mattress unless it's a cot and not cotbed, as it just wouldn't last. We choose a pocket sprung instead of a regular spring. My understanding is that the regular springs can all knock into each other. With pocket sprung, each spring is individual and when there's weight on one side, the other side remains unaffected (think of the silent night advert with the hippo), so they last longer :)
