ill have a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows please
ive another excuse as to do no housework which DH is hating already. I broke my toe on friday night falling down the stairs, so hospital wont strap it or anything and have told me to rest and avoid putting weight on it so DH is loving that. Especially as its my clutch foot and he hates driving :rotfl:
Good Luck Missy, hope it all goes smoothly and you get some mummy cuddles soon!0 -
I'll go a gingerbread latte! Was tempted to go get one while I was out at the shop earlier, but I resisted
Currently enjoying a friends marathon on Comedy Central, LOVE the one where Rachel puts mince beef in the trifle :rotfl:

Haha Gilly, I love that one too! We've had Friends on most of the day, apart from a two hour break while OH played Batman... Have now switched over to Frozen Planet, although I don't think nature programs are really the best thing for a hormonal pregnant woman such as myself to be watching... I seem to get upset quite easily watching these programs!
Pip has been on one today, I just had the weirdest feeling as s/he rolled over or something, it really tickled!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -

Ouch! I've broken toes before. Maaaan, that hurts! They are right, not much they can do. Elevate, cold packs, arnica lotion, and thats about all that will help. Which toe is it? It might help to strap it to the adjacent toe, just as a bit of support, but not too tight.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Kira its the one next to my big toe, its quite swollen at the moment so just elevating it and keeping up with the arnica gel to bring out the bruising quicker. it looks a mess though as most of my foot is blue with bruising
its not out of alignment or anything like that thankfully, just broken. at least i did it now rather than in a few weeks time when baby is here as that would be a nightmare
eta: how is your car doing, any idea on when you get it back?0 -
I've just adopted a cat, from a website I'm on. She is three, and unfortunately the son in the family has just been diagnosed as severly allergic, and it's tough for them to keep her. She's getting dropped off here tomorrow morning, and I'll let her wander around a little- I'm a softie, and couldn't bear the thought of her with no home....
DH took me to St Georges Market in Belfast, and while I loved it (he bought me a huge slab of chocolate fudge cake) my hips are screaming....
Missy, glad to see the updates, will be thinking of you!
Nice's wife- still no sign of baby....0 -

Oooch. Sounds sore. A bag of frozen peas or ice, wrapped in a tea towel will really help bring the swelling down quicker. Last time i broke toes, was at 30,000ft on a plane back from Dubai, and the swelling was HUUGE due to the pressure. Ice was the only thing that made it bearable! You are so right tho', you wouldnt want to be breaking toes with a new baby!
Car is...... making me sad. Is driveable, just, if you dont mind a grating sound over every bump in the road, and the bonnet not closed alarm going off when you drive (it is secured by the catch, just doesnt register on the computer). I'm taking it in to be fixed on Friday, and it should apparently take a week to do. So hopefully will have it back when i'm 35 weeks! DH's car is also back and fixed from his fault, so at least we have transport if bean comes early.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!
