Sorry was getting a lil bit serious there :)

I'm sure from what I hear from other people who have completed th challenge, it is more than worth it!

My sister had to stop work 12wks before EDD due to really bad SPD had a pretty traumatic birth with forceps and stitches and still said as soon as he was born she forgot everything he was so perfect.

I'm focusing on that in the hope it is true x

Makes it even more precious for you then.... :)

Being honest- I know how lucky I actually am. We conceived within a fortnight, when we'd expected it might have been a trial, as both my sisters struggled.
I know I've had an easy pregnancy too- barring SPD and losing one- only ever saw a couple of scans, never felt them move- which isn't as severe as some on here, certainly far from your sister's experience with SPD. I do get grouchy though, and knowing how lucky I am, I shouldn't be! I'm not used to feeling sick at all- I rarely take flu and colds etc.... Various bits hurting all the time is making me moan when I should be more sensitive....

I know it'll be worth it in the end. I also know while my child will mean everything to me, yours will be so special because it has so much more meaning to you.

Everyones baby is special Lirin :)

We conceived easy also but I had 2 very early miscarriages which were hard to deal with on top of my OH potentially being seriously ill.

We didnt plan on trying for a child till probably this year but my OH was diagnosed with testicular cancer in September last year we thought we might not get the chance to wait, as we didn't know what treatment would be needed :( and didn't fancy sperm banking and IVF luckily up to now he is clear and luckily it was caught early STAGE 1 but it is the more aggressive form.

I am just grateful we have been able to get to this stage and only 5 weeks everything crossed it all works out OK

There are plenty of people out there that have things a lot worse than me so my thoughts are with anyone who is trying for babies and getting nowhere and people suffering as I have had it easy a little bleeding at the beginning and morning sickness (all day) till 14weeks but no pain or SPD xx

Lirin- for me I knew pregnancy would suck, from the times Ive tried before, but I didn't know about PGP till this time around! :( I can only hope things continue to go well with this pregnancy, as I'm not sure I could try again, with the difficulties I've had this time around. All I have to do is try to keep us both healthy for the next 13 weeks or so and then none of the difficulties will matter and I will never have to do it again. ;)

I think that sounds a bit more depressing than I intended, I'm really pleased about having a baby, being pregnant just isn't the greatest feeling (for me). I envy those who bloom as I just feel old and haggard.

My eldest sister tried for a few years, before conceiving naturally the week before IVF would be trialled. He was a lovely boy, unfortunately due to heart problems didn't make it past 13 months. It's his birthday this weekend. She's since went on to have a little girl, who has discovered she can hide under Papa's chair and I can't bend down to scoop her out.....
One of my younger sisters (I have 4) tried for a couple of years too, and while she had no severe problems during the pregnancy, she suffered badly with sickness, heartburn, etc. Her little girl is a toddler now.

Both little girls are spoilt rotten, and the little grave for my nephew is visited frequently, and we talk about him very openly. My sister formed a local charity in his name for the group that helped her in hospital.

I think he'll play on my mind a lot this weekend, hopefully more smiles than tears!

It's with situations like that- and yours TT and Carmilla- I'd never thought much about children until we decided to try, now I find I notice things more- like people shouting or yanking their child along in a supermarket....

God I feel for you ladies, I've had an amazing pregnancy compared to some. Only thing was migraines in first trimester, and extreme tiredness, but I've got over both of them and after being home for a week I'd say I was "blooming" people kept telling me how good I look, now does that mean I looked Sh!te before or do people just say it because they think it's the done thing to do? :o

I feel this pregnancy is gonna lull me into a false sense of security though!

Also 4 sisters  The amount of PMT in that house must've drove your Dad crazy :p

I had my first milk last week & it was bright orange! Like Tango milkshake! Just some blobs on nipple, nothing since then.

Glad everyone else is in liners/pads! I thought it ws just me! I would say it's 90% discharge, 10% wee!! :rotfl:

Alot of my mums side of the family has low bp, and short of actual medication, i dont think there is much you can do to stop it. What you can try and do are things to try and avoid fainting situations! Extremes of heat, hot showers/baths are bad, avoid standing or sitting too quickly, keep your fluid levels topped up at all times- something with a balance of sugars and salt (isotonic drinks) are good, don't stand up for long periods, and don't let yourself get too hungry before eating!
