Some of those songs aren't very halloweeny?

Getting fed up this year with song choices. Why have a theme and then not pay any attention to it at all.. Ggrrrrr...

was thinking the same myself. theres loads of potential with haloween songs, bump in the night, anything from rocky horror show, little shop of horrors. the list is endless

Kira, feel for you, the one time when you need careful driving is when you're carrying a child. You might want to pass onto your OH that an M5 is a seriously bad car to act like a twit in (as he found out) as the whole thing is riddled with electronic systems- any hard driving and the car goes into panic mode and shuts various bits down or brings up warnings as a safety precaution. And most are hard to resolve yourself, and the dealer will charge a fortune.
My DH's driving has changed as well- he's still careful, but he's become so pass-remarkable on other drivers- 'What the hell does he think he's doing? That's really stupid...' and he has become more aggressive, though not challenging other drivers, thankfully, he's more like Victor Meldrew!

Lovecrafting- wow, that's some comment of her to make, mocking really- can understand why you're annoyed....

Mimi- Don't have any advice, but always around for a friendly chat if you need.

    Big hugs to you all.

Back on sofa, legs are fairly useless now! Hoping this is a temporary blip and I'll stop complaining to you all soon. Less than six weeks to go- seems so unreal. Particularly since MIL is being humourously helpful and telling me every gory labour story she can think of.....

Lirin, Ha:D! I have tried.. I have pointed out that tw*ting in the car is totally unnecessary, but his counter arguement is that his driving cant have caused a problem, as it is a performance car, and is designed to put the foot down in, and that the instructions say he HAS to get it up into high revs to keep the engine in good nic. Hmmm. And you are right on the electrics, its an SMG dual gearbox. urgh. I refuse to drive it.
I hate to say it, but i am a by far better driver than he is! Like, he will maintain a constant speed in his lane, even as he rapidly approaches the car in front, THEN has to slow right down to avoid ramming it, and then wait for a gap to pull into the next lane, before then speeding up again. Whereas i will see the car up ahead moving slowly, start looking for the gap to pull out, moderating my speed to an appropriate level, then moving out before i have to jam my brakes on. Or deciding that he HAS to overtake into the fast lane, despite the fact that our junction is coming up in less than a mile, then having to fight to get back across. Lack of planning.. same as in life.

Take him out on the track, and tell him to keep tricks for there, in a controlled environment. My sister's partner acts the same, and thinks he is a fantastic driver, knowing all about cars-until my Dad quietly told him the ratings of our Proton were twice as good as his Porsche- ours is lovingly maintained, modified, and driven responsibly- if we want to cut people up it's on a track.
