My bag is almost packed

Here they rang me same day and told me my GTT was fine

Been to see the neurologist and he was really nice which was good. Asked me to go back in March so he can see if there are any changes and said that it's good he saw me because he had a chance to do a full examination at my new 'default settings' so he'll have a basis for comparison if it does all go loopy again. Also said that if I have trouble he'll see me without a big wait and he'll go to the maternity hospital if I have a major issue there, so I feel much better now knowing that, means I won't be sitting there waiting days like last time not knowing what's going on.

How's it all going Laura? Not sure I will be able to get to those classes as Poole is a fair way from here

Kira - I had my GTT monday and they told me I could ring the antenatal unit for the results tuesday but I already had a midwife appointment then so just asked her. Obviously another case of things being different everywhere, but based on that the results should be available pretty quickly so you should probably try your surgery and ask them. I don't think they pro-actively contact anyone unless there is an issue.

Mine came back at 7.7 when the cut off for a GD referral was 7.8 (again might only be the system where I am). Been told to cut down on the sweet stuff to be on the safe side, but any issues will probably show in measurements and so far she is measuring exactly right. Got a growth scan in week 31 anyway. DH, being aware of the sweet stuff rules brought me a glass of full-fat coke to have with my dinner, then conveniently remembered how much sugar was in chocolate and wouldn't share the matchmakers!!

Redhead Your vouchers arrived today, so thanks a lot, some a$$hole had ripped open the envelope, obviously hoping for some sort of money/gift voucher, so they obviously got a disappointment when it was nappy vouchers. Thank you very much, will go today to spend some of them xx

Thanks ladies. I think if i ring, it will need to be the antenatal unit, and the m/w who ran the test at the satellite clinic was picking the results up today. As long as i'm clear, i dont really need to know more, so i might try and chill, and see if they call me today, and if they dont, give them a call next week.

I'm 29 weeks now, and have a 34 week community midwife appt booked at the surgery in late november, and a consultant clinic and growth scan at around 32 weeks, but nothing else booked. Just wondering about other appointments, as in my records book, it gives a list of appointments by week that there should be, but not whether they are hospital midwife/gp midwife etc. No idea if or who i should be calling to book things myself or not as they dont generally send out appointments automatically here.

Ok just a quick update to let you all know I may have to queue jump a few people... not due till 24th Oct but at my consultant appointment this morning they decided that they will induce me tomorrow at 38+5! :eek: This is because my blood sugar levels are getting higher because of my gestational diabetes - so I will probably have my baby boy by some point on Sunday! Excited but a bit scared, I'm sure it'll all be ok though
