missymoo81 wrote: »lol its crazy when you think of it like that. My nephew was born by now and so was I! I'm really hoping for an early baby, only couple of weeks though, any time after the 1st Nov would be great as OH is home then, Don't really want it before as think I might struggle on my own:eek:. would like it early just so i can be less uncomfortable!
Been bouncing on my ball in the hope of turning baby round, he's still in my ribs though, the pain is getting worse, I feel bruised!!!
I hope he turns for you. I used an app on my iPhone called "Flashlight" that turned my camera flash into a slowly flashing light. Coupled with frozen stuff on the top, he soon turned. And get on all fours too, that helped. As did holding on to things and squatting a few times.
I hope my baba makes an appearance soon. I want cuddles.
It's weird, just looked at the clock and it was this exact time (15:44) that they realised I was crowning and took me down to delivery suite. I know the time exactly as OH's colleague called just as they were wheeling me down. Poor guy got an earful of me shouting, and OH going "mate, now is NOT a good time, the kid's already coming out!"0 -
Ah people have not stopped annoying me all day, between doorbells and phone calls, I've not had my mid afternoon nap, I'm getting cranky! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

So I've drunk a bottle of cherry lucozade today and I still feel shattered. Did too much this morning I think moving toys around and taking them up and down the stairs. Midwife was totally pointless today. Neither of my usual ladies were there and it was a locum type one with a student. Asked me why I was having an elective c-section and I basically said because my consultant agreed to it! Cheeky cow - I'm not explaining myself to her. Think she was showing off cos the student was there.Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Congrats to Bella and Oscar :j
SC, your baby girl is gorgeous
I am jealous of all the talk of woodburners. We had planned to get one put in in September. We even asked of Freecycle and got loads of wood, which is currently sitting in our gardenThen I got pg and our savings had to be spent on other jobs in the house, such as replacing the old double glazing, bedroom alterations, new wardrobes etc. Days like today when it is wet and windy make me want one even more, but obviously I want baby more
Sorry for all those with crappy OHs, I'm very lucky with mine. Unfortunately for him I am in a permanently grouchy mood, but I am trying not to take it out on him as I know it's not anything he is or isn't doing, it's the hormones
Lirin, I too am looking forward to a bit rest between finishing work and baby arriving. Although I have made myself a list of jobs that need doing. I really hope my nesting instinct kicks in soon as my house is turning into a hovel :eek:WW - hope the meeting is not anything to worry about.ww - Good luck for your meeting.
It wasn't good news, but I am not going to stress about it, what will be will beI think im actually toxic today. Been up all night with painful trapped wind, coupled with the 5 days of constipation, i just feel beached.
Have you tried dried apricots or prunes? I had about 10 apricots today and was very relieved IYKWIM :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Congratulations Bella! Oscar is a lovely name and he was a great weight too
sorry to hear you had a rough time, good you heal quickly xxx
Still having pains which have now spread to my legs, they feel really odd, like they don't belong to me lol
Having a lazy afternoon catching up on things I've sky plused and bouncing on my ball.
Had a lovely surprise this morning as we got a beautiful card through the post from the registrars who married us last week with a lovely message in it. We will be getting baby registered at the same office when he arrives so are planning to take in some choccies and a thank you card as they were so lovely and really went above and beyond to make sure we could get married on the date we wanted and to make the day special for us
It's getting a bit chilly here now so I'm going to light the fire. Hubby laid it out for me before he went to work and brought a load of wood in for me
Hope you're all having a great dayxxx

Not had a chance to read back but just popping on to say our baby girl Sophia Isabel was born on 6th October at 04:39 weighing 7lb exactly. 9 days late. I'd been in early labour since 03:30 the previous morning and contractions were every 3-5 mins lasting a min but they kept telling me to stay at home because they needed to be regular. I was so tired as it was relentless, and ended up going in at about 11pm only to be checked, told I was only 2cm and that it can take 24hrs per cm at this stage, and to go home. I was so upset because I felt they were dismissing how bad the contractions were. Then my waters broke and there was meconium so they strapped my up to a monitor for an hour, baby seemed fine and I was told they'd check me 4hrs after the initial exam. Contractions were nearly constant by this point and I was gutted I couldn't use the birth pool due to the meconium. When she checked me again 4hrs later I was 10 cm and 40 mins later Sophia Isabel was born. No tears or stitches so I was very lucky. They put down my official labour time as 1hr 56 mins, ha - I don't think so! I was so relieved my waters had gone then and not 5 mins later on the way home!
We are loving life as parents, our little girl is gorgeous and we're so proud! After a traumatic couple of years we never thought we'd get here, I still can't quite believe it's real.
Hope some of the other ladies have had their babies too, I know there were a few due late sept/early oct.
Take care everyone.0 -
