Last year it seems it was all over inflated prices to begin with. You would save a few pounds but nothing great. It has been a few years since they had a good sale for everyone (not just the glitches and clearances) I think £12-15 sounds reasonable for the barbie stuff in the first place. Saw a pretty similar car in the asda 2 for £20. It had no doll but you can get a normal barbie pretty cheap. But getting it for free now that is a bargian price! lol

None in my local today, yesterday there were about 8 barbie school sets on the shelves! No barbie cars still and no polly pocket boat set either.

Ventured further out to another store, they had lots of polly pockets, cars and school sets, with stickers ripped off. Didn't look very appealing like that. Did pick up a waybuloo nara playset for £7.50 (technically free as I used a giftcard ) It wasn't a very friendly store though so shant be going back there.

Thanks everyone for posting bargains, I have a few more Christmas presents for dd at a reasonable price

About 3 or 4 School sets at Duk3s Gr33n, F3lth4m, M1ddx tonight.

All with stickers.... I already got one so didn't bother. If you're getting one, hide the others for someone else.

I forgot to pay cash though so its been refunded onto my debit card which takes a bit to go back on but hey ho, its still good when u r getting free toys :-D I was in there at about 10am, didnt see the polly pockets but i was trying to be quick x

I got 3 today. Thats my neices sorted for Xmas presents. They had nothing else stickered at B'pool. I nearly had heart failure when the checkout guy looked at the half price sticker and said that must be an old sticker they are full price now. Kept my head down as if I hadn't heard him and kept packing, paid my bill and then straight to CS who as usual were fabulous and did a DTD.

:DJust popped into my local and did my weekly shop. Went to check out the toys section, low and behold, a full shelf full of the schools AND the cars. Both lots fully stickered up with a red £12.50 sticker - reduced from £25. SEL still said £25. I thought Id take the risk!! :cool:

Yep - Both of mine went through at £25 on the self service checkout! I know this stores a bit of a nightmare with DTD as Ive tried in the past and only got a refund, so I went with a full on attitude tucked away ready to respond if I was told no DTD.

One cs staff said, I can refund you the difference and allow you to pay half price for the items. I looked at her, frowned and said, I was fully aware of their DTD policy and if that was her intention, to get me the manager. Which she dutifully did. The manager came, checked the stickers and trundled off with my x2 boxes. On his return, he said "The SEL clearly displays £25 and I beleive you have seen that and taken advantage of the DTD"!!!! :eek: In reply I said "EXCUSE ME?! and threw him a filthy look, then proceeded with "that is your opinion. . . which I don't care for - Thank you very much." He then said "On this occasion I will honer it and give you the DTD" at which point I said, "I should hope so, or my next port of call was your head office". He then said there was no need for the call as he was honering it.

I got my DTD and now have x2 toys for friends kids!!! So a MASSIVE Thank you to the OP - You are wonderful :A.
I should imagine the duty manager went back to the shelves and sat on the floor with the lot of what was there peeling the labels himself!! LMAO

The Thomas set I saw today was £30 down to £15 and scanned at £10 :eek: but I couldnt remember the deal with this one so just left it as my son has enough Thomas bits already!
