I would go back to Boots, find the SA who was rude to you, check her name badge, then send a letter to head office naming her and explaining exactly what happened. These people are working in a customer service role. I've worked in shops before and I was never rude to anyone (unless they were rude to me first...and you'd be surprised how many people are - I had people swearing at me even!). her behaviour is totally unacceptable and she shouldn't keep her job if she cannot be polite to the customers who are paying her wages.

Im going to sit and write a letter to head office asap. I doubt i'll hear anything back anyway, to cut a long story short, i complained to the helpline last year about a psycho No.7 girl and a floor manageress, they passed on my number to the store manager who never bothered to talk to No.7 weirdo about her 'conduct' and had an afterthought that she had better send out a £10 voucher for the upset they had caused. (Standing in the middle of a packed Boots with everyone watching me, with a sa and manageress staring at me and pointing fingers, as i was crying my eyes out, sa believed there was imaginary offers on the products i was trying to buy and i wasnt allowed to buy them, nor use the vouchers with my name on for extra points that Boots had posted to me, at least a thief gets carted off to a private place to be accused)

I also felt very sorry for the woman with the snooty Clarins sa, so will complain on her behalf. I dont want anything in return, just for them to tell the staff working at Boots to be a bit nicer to their customers in future. Either that or i will very gladly swop my job with a Boots sa and maybe then they will start being nicer :D

:grouphug: to everyone like me who gets the sa from hell.
  • Evening people, Going to be a little pushy and ask if anyone has a spare £5 off voucher? I can send a SAE. Pleaseeeeeeee.

Sorry sugarhoney, have none myself either, but I think a lot of people are probably saving theirs for when the free gift sets come out on the 31st.

    Why don't you try eBay?

Sorry to repeat myself from the last page:

"I was once treated appallingly by a Clarins SA, and wrote to the store. The manager rang me to thank me for bothering, as they knew they had a problem, but the Clarins staff aren't employed by Boots.

I got an apology and a voucher from Boots, and an apology and a gift from Clarins."

But the store manager said it was really helpful for him to know, then he moved it up to Head Office.

Edited to add that it clearly depends on how much individual managers care about their customers.

Boots SA's have always been hit and miss, but it feels to me as if far too many of them at the moment actually resent us for shopping there.

  • Could anyone enlighten me on the free gift sets on 31st - not heard about this one. Also did not see any of the nice little red No7 bags that everyone has been buying - none in Rotherham store.

Misseypootle, from the 31st January Boots will be offering a free gift set for all spends over £15 on No.7. There are usually several vouchers inside said gift set, including another one for No.7 - usually several hundred extra points.

This offer has worked in the past when you spend £15 and use a £5 No.7 voucher, so only spend £10 and get a free gift set.
