Do i complain about the way the first sa treated me and told me the bogof offer had ended? And about the rude Clarins assistant who was trying to rip off nice lady who just wanted to buy the secret trimmer?

I would go back to Boots, find the SA who was rude to you, check her name badge, then send a letter to head office naming her and explaining exactly what happened. These people are working in a customer service role. I've worked in shops before and I was never rude to anyone (unless they were rude to me first...and you'd be surprised how many people are - I had people swearing at me even!). her behaviour is totally unacceptable and she shouldn't keep her job if she cannot be polite to the customers who are paying her wages.

Just a quick question, I know that the 3for2/6for1 works with suncare but not tanning things, but I wasn't sure whether the bronzers and shimmer pearls etc would work (things that are in the Instant Sunshine section online)? To me, they aren't tanning things as they don't actually change your skin colour, but didn't want to pick up the wrong things in the shop. :o

Just checked on boots.com, and bronzers etc are listed as 3for2 not BOGOF, so no, unfortunately this wouldn't work :( Wish it did, as I might actually have more of a use for 6 lots of these! :rotfl:

I totally agree with you Snow Angel. zztopgirl, get onto customer services, even if the girl had a bad day there is no excuse to take it out on the customers!

When I have a bad day with customers, I have a laugh along with them and tell them all about it. You would be surprised the amount of customers who sympathise with you:p This girl should not be in a customer service role if this is how she acts:mad:

I agree the clarins staff behave in a despicable manner- they serve people on the basis of appearance and smirk at each other if they think a customer who is browsing will not be spending money. If you are in a really brave mood then it would be wonderful to ask for the SA's name and then tell her that you will be reporting her to customer service for her inappropriate customer service.

Just got back from Boots and thought i'd share my haul.

1st Transaction-Bought reduced mens botanics body spray at £1.47 and got golden glow free, and used 100 points voucher.

Boots cold remedy 99p and used 100 points voucher
few other bits to reach total of £5.10 so got another voucher.

2nd Transaction- Bought 2 hair spritz and found a reduced to £5.50 firm your body sun lotion, the glitch worked, used voucher and paid 50p. The sa looked as surprised as i did.

3rd Transaction-Bought frizz ease shampoo and conditioner with the £3 vouchers, £4.49 each so paid a total of £3.

Think i will stop now as i've got loads of Botanics, and will probably try to return one of the hair spritz as i won't use it, will they refund without a receipt? Thanks Jess
  • Got loads of Suncare stuff today. Am going on hols in 3 weeks so will come in very useful. Am still a bit scared of trying the 6 for 1. Does this work in all Boots branches? The 342 and BOGOF worked fine. How long will it be before they realise their computer system is rubbish. Hope its at least a week so I can go and get some more stuff. I have had the best time buying these bargains. It soooo satisfying walking out of the shop with loads of stuff for a couple of quid. Thanks to everyone who posts the bargains. Cheers fellow MSE's!!!!

Practice an arrogant looking down your nose look and say "I bet your pardon?" in an offended tone. Then use that whenever someone is that impertinently rude to you. Recommended by Miss Manners as the 'correct' way to reprimand someone for taking liberties. ;)
