washing machine not taking in fabric conditioner
Comments

The fabric conditioner just stays in the drawer in a gloopy mess at the end of the wash, I have tried unclogging all the water jets in the roof of the drawer , but it has made no difference .
If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful , as the washing is coming out not smelling as nice as it should , and I am wasting fabric conditioner (so just not using any at the moment).
Wife usually dilutes it before putting it in the drawer or does it by pouring a jug of water in the drawer.0 -
+1 for giving the drawer a good clean. I usually give ours a steep in the washing up bowl before cleaning with a brush/ cotton buds.
You can check the syphon action with the drawer out of the machine by simply filling the conditioner bit with water - it should just run out.

Hi there ,
I hope this is in the right section of the forum!
I have a samsung q1235v washing machine which I bought secondhand , so don't have a manual for it.

You need to run the machine empty on a boil wash about once every 3 months, and this will keep all the pipes and jets clean, otherwise they do block up as you have found out.
Once you sort it, if you do this every 3 months you should not get this problem again

thanks again everyone , I have done literally everything suggested already .
The problem is not in the drawer , I tested just now .
I have had another go at the water jets with a cocktail stick , but didn't seem to clear out any more goo than yesterday .0 -
I would give the white vinegar suggested by Mista_C a go and on as hot a wash as you can. See if you can get a large bottle at the supermarket
The maintenance part of the manual says about cleaning the debris filter and the mesh filter on the inlet hose0 -
maybe there's a mechanical reason behind the problem. Have you tested/checked if water is getting into the conditioner part of the draw? Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

I have cleaned the filter out , and have now put it on a 95 degree wash with vinegar in , see if that helps .
It is frustrating me not being able to get to the bottom of it !!!0 -
Have you downloaded the latest drivers for it? Tried starting in safe mode? Oh sorry...0

Ditch the conditioner. It doesn't do your clothes or towels any good and is a total waste of money.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.
