How long does a cat have to stay with her kittens? Isn't it about six weeks? That takes us mid-way through November, when Button may have settled down at the new house, so am still interested in Lucy if that's okay please?

Jazabelle - kitties have to be at least 8 weeks efore they can go to new homes and give mum a break.

As they have not arrived yet.....I think we are talking early December really....

Was closing putah down but saw this Thread by chance.

Just wanted to echo what so many others have said about the grace and humanity of your daughter, who so clearly has this shining from her maman:-)

I up sticks for weeks at a time, so feel it is unfair to take little chaps/chapesses on board, although animals were always part of my Life.

A suggestion for any potential kitty-takers or past owners of singletons - if you take a litter pair, you will have the joy of them together in a totally different dynamic from that of an Only. It was a revelation to me and, apart from Rescue singletons, I've since taken pairs if they needed a home. I do appreciate the possible downsides - personality differences, eventual decease of one before another, gender contests.

If these babes are going to be ready for re-homing in the run up to Christmas[looks about right], I think you can be optimistic. It tends to be a time of short supply, heightened demand[and this has come from several org.s with whom I've had dealings over the years.]

I'd love to be on your list, but. . . .[although a couple of weeks ago, I was ringing some online vet. practice no's and checking other sites about Pet Passports, tattoos and cross-channel travel]..........alors, qui sait?

At least I can subscribe to this Thread.

Every best wish to you all and safe arrivals.

Paddypaws - no I did not yet, as the kitties have not arrived and in any case I had quite a few PM on here from people interested in both kitties and Lucy. Will see closer to the time though and may contact them then.

    Ampersand - thanks...

So pls fingers crossed everyone - will let you know as soon as I know anything.

Will be going there later on tonight.
