Suspended from eBay for no apparent reason

Hi all,
A few days ago, my eBay account was suspended. This was without warning, and with no reason given.
All of my bids were cancelled, and I was sent a stern email with the subject 'MC115 NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension'. This gave me no idea why my account was suspended, but implied that this was to do with the 'Abusing eBay' section of the User Agreement.
I spoke to Live Help, but they were useless and refused to tell me why my account had been suspended. I phoned up and had the same problem.
I 'appealed' this, by faxing them my passport and a credit card statement. I am now waiting to see if they reinstate my account.
I have been a member for nearly 13 years, and spend hundreds of pounds a month there. I am dumbfounded as to how they can do this, completely without warning or the remotest hint of courtesy. I have done absolutely nothing wrong - I am honest to the point of being a fool to myself.
Needless to say, I am experiencing enough unbridaled fury to tear a rift in the space/time continuum. Is this sort of thing common? Does anyone know what might have caused this? My account wasn't hijacked as far as I'm able to tell, and I've not been involved in any hijinks.
Thanks!

Abusing ebsy normally mesns that your account hss been linked with a previously banned or suspended ebay or Paypal accounts. So have you or someone at your address ever been suspended or banned from ebsy?'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

As Oliver says that is usually the code used when a person is linked to another already suspended account, it is one of the hardest bans to get ebay to over turn.
All you really do is persevere with ebay, ask them what has linked you to a suspended account and try and 'prove' it wasn't you or anyone connected with you - and if that fails, find a different selling venue. Under no circumstances be tempted to open or use any other account meanwhile.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Very strange, I am not in any way connected with any other accounts, and nor is anybody in my family. I've had the same account for 13 years.
Thanks for the advice - I will persevere with them and see where it gets me.0 -
You've not recently moved house or anything?'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

I moved house well over a year ago - I did wonder if that might be related.0

Which means of course that once you start building up a good reputation you will be suspended again.
You cannot trade whilst suspended on any other account- and for some reason (insert conspiracy theories here) ebay seem to let you get away with it right up to the point where you are doing really well, or have just spent a lot of money on new stock- then bang- suspension with no appeal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If the worst comes to the worst, I'll set-up an alternative account, only access it via a VPN tunnel, and link it to a different name and address. But it does absolutely infuriate me. How can a company treat valuable customers so badly? God knows how many tens of thousands of pounds I've spent there over the last decade!
Thanks everyone for the advice.0
