the price drops to 1p so that when it is wasted off stock as surplus the cost isn't so high to the store as it affects the budget - a store can then either sell it through at this price or if the store manager is lovely he will distribute it among the staff (like mine last year) its just to keep the figures looking good

there were some £1 boxes with items in in my large store. They were a bit rubbish really, bin liners, dish cloths , scouring sponges..no good stuff.

I got some great stuff for 1p in tesco last year, and sold it on ebay before christmas this year at a profit!!!

We got a load of stuff last year for 1p and used it for the school Christmas Fayre,
I wonder if the 3 for 2 will still kick in!

I got all of the wrapping paper for this years prezzies last year from Tesco for 1p per roll.

Bags of self adhesive gift tags were also 1p too.
