Help - should I report

I've seen two youngish lads over the last week coming home from school on the pavement on a scooter - not the noisy hairdyer things but a really quiet one, with no number plate/L plate and no crash hats.
Now I'n not a busy body, and to be fair to the driver, he seems quite sensible and probably a safer driver than some of the cyclists that I have to dodge, but in the interests of safety, do you think I should reprt them?
(or should I maybe call the high school and ask to speak to their police man)
I asked my youngest (19) and he suggested phoning the school.
Sorry to bother you, just wondered what's best, thankyou.

Phone the school, and tell them to have a word with them before shopping them to the police.0

Thank you Mikey, that's sort of what I was thinking.
I am surprised that a teacher hasn't seen them, but my son suggested that maybe they parked the scooter at a friends house rather than at school, which would be easy for the school policeman to find.
Will dig out the number and call them.
Thanks again

Have you been living under a stone for the last 20 years then?
IME, most if not all schools have had a local/community officer as a named contact for any issues arising for a very long time now.0 -

Well, I certainly didn't know that.
Will ask my daughter later if this is the case at her school.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -

What kind of "scooter"?
You say it's not the noisey hairdrier type, so im baffled as to what it could be..... But at the very least it's likely to be stolen property.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

You won't have seen the new legislation that they have to be firearms trained either then?
Glad mine left school many years ago.
OP: I would report it to the school too and see what they say.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Blimey, that's a bit of an assumption! What makes you think that?0 -
Could be an electric one?0

Well if it's really silent, it's probably electric..... And electric "scooters" cost very large sums of money. Just an electric "go-ped" will set you back £1500+.
Weigh up the facts as they're presented... Two young "lads", silent motorised scooter, no plates, no helmet.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
