That timing thing is really dodgy too. I had one the other day where the email said it was a 20 minute survey and you'd not get paid if you didn't take enough time to do it, but the survey was hosted by a partner who started the survey with a statement that it would take 5-10 minutes.
  • Strangely I seem to have more ciao surveys that I am eliigible for lately. I earned a grand total of £11.35 last year but am up to £8.50 this year. It isn't much, but I only do them in time that I would have spent reading or watching TV. So it is ok I suppose. Lightspeed seem to be best for me.

Yes defintely getting terrible atm for payments. I've noticed they because they pay for allowing people "to give opinion" it now suddenly gives them the right for previously a 2.50 payment now to become 70p or something even more smaller. I've had surveys on other sites that are 5 times shorter and get paid 5 times more. I do not know what they think they are doing - if they continue people will just ignore every e-mail that they send. Valuedopinions suveyspot, itsyourview and onepoll - these sites pay miles more without giving you the spanish equisition. Plus they don't take 6 yrs .. 6 weeks to pay out for approved transaction that took 5 months to approve in the first place (I did have one that took a year can you believe)

I got one a while back from ciao it was for
ariel soap powder I had already done the same one for
pinecone and got £4.ciao were paying 80p
    what a cheek.

I totally agree, I've had the same thing happen to me too. I've also noticed a similar thing with TNS paying me more than Ciao for the same survey, AND the Ciao survey clicks through to an actual TNS survey, complete with logo at the top left!

Is it just me or do Ciao also seem to take a heck of a lot of detailed use of a product before deciding you "Don't qualify". Perhaps I'm just a cynical old moo!

some surveys give less and others more...ive got about £8 so far from several surveys...not bad i guess.

Thanks to the brilliant people here on MSE, so far this month, including surveys, Rpoints, Pigsback vouchers, Quidco, and Greasypalm, where I have not spent any money at all, just done the freebies people suggest, I've earned £163! I was pretty chuffed with that! A BIG thanks to people who take the time to post these things :A - Suzy

  • Ciao is completely rubbish imo, I have long since given up on them. They never pay for the ones I complete, and more often that not I get half way along the progress bar before being rejected, so no money, AND I've answered their damn survey.
    Pile of tosh.
  • I've also noticed that they are paying much less for quite long sureys. I've stopped doing all the 80p ones I get all the time. It's just not worth the hassle.
  • I've just joined ciao about 2 weeks ago but I haven't recived any survey's yet. I was wondering how long it takes before you get offered one, I'm not sure weither to bother now after reading the above posts. I also joined pinecone but they said it would be upto 4 weeks before I get offered anything.
  • There was me thinking Karen was writing just to me :rotfl:, I've given up with ciao as I used to spend ages writing details only to be told I don't qualify, as so many other people have said, it was getting daft.

Me too! I'm glad it's not just me who got the email from Karen.
  • has anyone tryed the you gov surveys they pay well but dont recieve any moneys until you reach £50 but the best part about it you can let them know how bad a job our useless government is ....... i let them know what i think of them lol.
