The card will be programmed to use said machines
Sorry to be thick - but which said machines? The bank says I have a Select Silver Acc. Thereforfe, I think I should be able to withdraw from any ATM. However, Jen and others beleive that I am infact being offered a basic account with added benefits and not a Select account. Does this mean that I still will only be able to withdraw cash from NW/RBS ATM's?
Anyone?0 -

If you have a select account you can use any ATM.
Its only the basic accounts which will be restricted.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

No I think you misunderstood what I meant. You currently have a Step account yes? Then you still have the facility to use all atms, and with the upgrade to Select Silver, that wont change, you will still be able to use all ATMS. What I was saying, is that with the credit restricted version of the Select Silver, is that it is basically like your Step account, as you cant have overdrafts etc on it. Its not the Basic which is restricted.Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0 -

Many thanks but I remain unconvinced. Why am i able to get a Select Silver acc and not not qualify for a Silver. I have to say I believe Jen - I think I have a Select account in name only. In reality I'm still a Basic acc holder.0 -

My understanding is that the basic so-called "Select Silver" Visa debit card allows Link ATM access, but according to posts here (but not any Natwest/RBS point of sale or online product information) the card you will receive will NOT work "on train" or at Pay@Pump. For that functionality you need the "purple" Visa debit card.
Be warned.0 -
