Pure One DAB Radio - £24.99 at Boots

Today in Yeovil, I saw a number of DAB radios in the half marked price sale section upstairs.
They had:
Pure One DAB Radio (White) - £49.99 = £24.99
Bush TR2003 DAB Radio - £59.99 = £29.99
Bush TR2006 DAB Radio - £39.99 = £19.99
They had a few of each radio in stock at 5 pm today. Obviously I don't know for sure if this is a national offer, or which stores will have stock, but it's worth looking out for if you are wanting to buy a DAB radio. They don't seem to stock these online. I know the arguments about the current DAB radio potentially being obsolete in a few years time and people who are worried about this can look at this thread.

I got the Pure One and got 99 advantage points, so effectively the price was £24. Doing a search on Kelkoo, the best price for this that I could find is £44.99.

They did have them online at the beginning of the sale, same price reduction, but they sold out very quickly. Thanks for this info.0

If you buy a DAB radio try to ensure it has a USB port for upgrading it!
The transmission system changes later this year and radios will become useless as stations eventually change to the newer standard.
This may take several years for them all to change over though!Keep SmilingSite member number 24

The Pure One does have a USB port and on the box it says 'USB Upgradeable - Add new features as they become available via USB'. This was one of the reasons I bought it.

I have just spent £100 + on a pricy but well-specified Roberts radio. It does not have this USB port. Should I send it back immediately? It came from John Lewis, so can return easily.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
Has anyone seen these in any Stoke branches?
Thanks,

I've looked ito this further and most (if not all) radios sold here at the moment will become obsolete! This is maybe why there are some better prices around at the moment! Look here for more info if you are going to buy a new one soon. I'd wait until the new models are out in the Spring.
