gogo - couple of things... first, use IE not firefox or another browser, this can apparently cause the invalid filename error. Second, rename the firmware file with a .bin file extension, it appears to be missing on the downloaded file........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
failing that, there's a couple of other things to try...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

How did you get routerstats working on the Dlink 2640B firmware ver 3.07.
I got routerstatslite working and the DMT displays all the stuff, however I gave up with the full routerstats version.
It seemed to me that routerstats "forgot" the noise/sync etc settings every time you turned the program off, so when you re-loaded it again you needed to go through the setup routine to get the stats page and highlight/save the required items all over again. In short every time you needed to use the program.
As far as I recall I supposed that routerstats for some reason couldn't use the info stored in the 'ini' file about where the data was to be found in the http page to find the new data in the new http page upon program reload.0 -

Only ever got RS Lite working properly with v3.06 fw (but that was about 2.5 yrs ago and didn't know anything about telnet at the time), however, now you mention it, as I'm currently using spare router #1 (which has 3.06) I may give full RS another try using the telnet interface.
It took telnet to use full RS on v4.01, but with limited functionality (i.e. no snrm tweaking available), but not really a problem as DMT gives pretty much the same graphical information along with the tweakingAs an aside, John O (who writes RS) couldn't get RS Lite working with v4.01 as it apparently subtly changes the sending of login details, hence why I managed to get a tweaked DMT v8.07 which had the config file changed to work with v4.01 fw.....

just tried full RS with 3.06 fw, and it works similar to v4.01, i.e. just the telnet side, still no snrm adjustment..so, back to DMT in the main for me......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Ah, I see now.
I wondered how you got a tweaked DMT - now you say by modifying the config file...that figures.
The actual DMT program seems to have been 'orphaned/abandoned' and the source code was never released by whoever did the work in 2006/07....which is a pity.
The Full RS version (unlike the lite) will also allow you to superimpose the sync on the SNR graphs which if you are having re-syncs make sense as the SNR graph without the sync one can be a bit misleading in this condition.0 -
I've got copies of original DMT 8.07 and tweaked for 2640B 4.01 if you need them, both work perfectly well.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
