I'm sorry I can't help OP, I have a very similar problem. I have a 14 year old with severe autism and fragile x. She isn't into toys, loves her ipod has a mountain of clothes. Her developmental age is around 3. No idea what so ever what to get her this year. It's so tough getting it right with these special kids isn't it.

Sorry to go off topic, Toto, I've been trying to think of that syndrome for days, they tested my son for it, thanks!

Teabag, that's one of the things they may give your DD a blood test for.

Anyway, back to your question, does she like, or has she tried Lego?

My dyspraxic child did, and still does, my DD does too. They both spend hours making up little scenes, talking to themselves and making up voices for their characters. They've got lots of little people that become all sorts of fantasy characters.

If your DD likes playing with dolls in that way, she may like lego. Or Playmobil.

She isnt into lego no but I have deffo got some ideas from this thread especially the whiteboard idea for when she plays teachers and a clipboard to, she'll love that. • I have a nearly 12 year old autistic boy and he's getting Ben and Holly castle and Gaston's cave for xmas. It's all he's asked for and it's a long way off from his age range but so what? THat's what he wants, he can have it. I'll also look into a lava thing for him too if it looks safe. He can be a bit of a terror for smashing things up so we don't for him to have access to plugs etc in his room.

He loves Super Mario and associated clothing. He doesn't fit into any of the clothes in the shops now. Next goes up to a size 13 in Mario shirts but they aren't big enough for him. I'm going to have to try source some transfers and make our own some how unless anyone knows of anywhere I can get adult size mario stuff?

    Katinkka,

If you look online there are quite a few places in the UK which sell Mario related clothing in adult sizes.

  • Katinkka,

If you look for 'gaming clothing' or similar you should find several links to websites with adult sized t-shirts.
