To be fair, it's as if the OP decided to post a "how not to deal with it" manual. He's got everything wrong.

What's with the attitude chancesare, people come on here asking for help and you just seem to insult them!
When money is involved on either side, tensions run high. A lot of people here are both buyers and sellers and can see things from both sides; I'm sure you don't disagree with what's been said but this is "serious business" so sometimes people come across as rather angry at some attitudes.

  • You as the seller however may well need the help of your buyer in order to claim compensation from Royal Mail, and if you drag out the refund process too long then they may not be willing to assist with your claim.

No you don't, if the buyer doesn't respond to Royal Mail's request for confirmation of non-receipt you merely contact Royal Mail to say you dispute their argument that the parcel was delivered and the claim will be paid.

Not the experience or outcome that sellers on the ebay community boards and the Amazon sellers boards have found. On the rare occasions where a buyer has been asked to confirm non delivery, and on the even rarer occasions when they have failed to respond no money has been refunded by Royal mail- not even after appeal.

  • Well I have had this situation and got the claim paid, the above was confirmed by the manager of the lady whose job it is to specifically deal with eBay claims. All of my claims are paid without major issue, including one where the buyer told Royal Mail they did get the parcel (buyer was referring to the replacement).

I received this form from RM yesterday to confirm non receipt, however I have received the parcel,I emailed the seller last night and this is the reply
Hi glad you've got your game but its still showing as being processed on royal Mail website, all my items are sent recorded delivery and if they dont show as signed and delivered i put in a claim for them.

I shall be completing the form as item received.
  • I shall be completing the form as item received.

I'd include a copy of the seller's email with the form, Royal Mail won't be pleased with their actions which the rest of us are paying for.
