On a similar theme, DW got an umbrella from Ruffler Bank for no specific reason. :)

Shortly afterwards, they were taken over and became Aldermore.

Shortly after that, DW had a letter from Aldermore saying, 'Sorry, but in order for us to keep your money for you, you'll now have to prove you're who you say who you are.' No umbrella either.:(

She wrote back saying 'Bog off, Ruffler had my dosh for ages and it was no problem to them. When you took 'em over you took my money too & you should have thought about this. Oh, and where's the umbrella?'

It was no good though. They wouldn't have it, so in order to keep her rather good long term deal, the birth certificate and Blue Peter badge were duly sent off....

Still haven't had an updated umbrella, or anything else from Aldermore.....and the deals they offer, allowing for the dive in interest rates, are now pants compared with Ruffler's offerings. :(

Brilliant, my mortgage is going through with Santander so I'm guessing if I do get one it will be delivered three months late to the wrong address!

The coffee is rank, be warned! Everything else is lovely!

Its a nice touch but i had to stop the missus sending them a 'thank you' card.

"Honey, you do realise weve just paid about 100k for that box?!"

I got this box when we moved in last year. The mini tool box proved to be very useful! We also got cashback on our offer :)

  • I have also used the little tool kit a lot and some of the picture hooks. I scoffed all the chocolates myself because I'm that sort of person, the Halifax sent them to me so it was me that should eat them. ;) I actually liked getting it, even though I know I've paid for it one way or another, it was a nice surprise when I got home from a bad day at work.
    Whatever
