I have had credit before, quite a good history of good credit (up until I paid it all off and closed the accounts before we moved).
My partner applied 6-7 weeks ago, I haven't had a mobile contract for a couple of years now, just been living off my brothers hand me downs on pay as you go.
I did read on the web as well that 3 and Vodafone are the easiest with bad credit --- and I still get turned down.
Oh well...it doesn't always pay to be good then?
Must agree with you when saying it doesn't pay to be good
also 3 is normally easy to get a contract
may be its because you cleared all your debt
hope you have better luck next time if you try.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.

Have experienced Three and credit checking. Two issues you would have, one is electoral roll, and secondly, the fact it's an iPhone. As it's one of their more expensive handsets, it's likely they have experienced more fraud on this handset than others, therefore the bar at which they pass credit checks will be higher. If you're not on the electoral roll, they see this as being unable to find you should you default.
Although Three have been generally more lenient, they are tightening up.0 -
Chances are you are not on the electoral role at your new house which certainly had a bearing with Tmobile for me. Also have experian updated their records for your new address ?
The biggest thing for me was that because my address has 2 parts before the road name Experian cannot/willnot handle it & end up with the road name in the Town & the town in the County !
how did you get over this problem? Experian cant find my current or previous address on their system, i called and they said they would raise a dispute...0
