    Kerri,

Do you still bank with LLoyds? I was under the impression that they transfer the cash into your account if you have one? Sorry to hear about the delay though. Must admit I'm anticipating a rough ride at some point.
I still bank with Lloyds, but refuse to give them any of my cash. The bloke on the phone was very reasonable and seemed to know what he was talking about when he took my bank details for HSBC. I did ask him if it was ok to put it into an alternative account.

  • Cheryl,

When I asked for the timescale on the phone yesterday the chap was very apologetic as to how long it would take. Assuming things go to plan I'll get a breakdown letter at the beginning of October and then payment the beginning of November.

No idea why it takes so long though. I do feel for the staff on the phones though as I imagine they are getting both barrells with most of the calls. Good luck with yours, must be very difficult when you've got a little one running around.

The advisors I have spoken to at Lloyds have all been very professional in thir approach. Even though my claim in its own rights should probably have been resolved by now I can understand the amount of irrate customersthat they must have to deal with on a day to day basis. Heads up there at Lloyds surely your workload will steadily drop off as the complaints are resolved.

mmm yes unfortunately so. At least the suffering and constant worrying of people out there along with the greed of the Banking sector and associated businesses have given them the opportunity to gain employment. Perhaps with their inside knowledge and expertise they could set up a CMC without charging extortionate fees and help people claiming through other banking groups!
  • Hi does anybody know why it takes Lloyds TSB 2 months to settle claims after the acceptance form has been returned, and is the 8% interest payable up until the day their cheque is released

can i ask a question, i am chasing lloyds as i was told i would hear by the 31st august and have not heard a thing. I have called twice and been on hold about half an hour both times - its a bit awkward to hold as i have a toddler running around lol and was wondering how long you lot have been holding for as obviously youve all phoned chasing letters. How come it takes so long for them to refund the money - theyre quick enough to take it off you!!!

It took 58 mins for me to get through today after someone had rang me today (The timing was great as I was driving so couldnt answer).

When I eventually got through no one could help and I was offered a callback tomorrow. I explained that I will be at work tomorrow with no access to my phone.

I eventually had to ask to speak to a manager who explained the agent I spoke to should have requested I was called this evening and he apoligised, said he would make sure I was called this evening once the phones were switched off at 6pm. He gave me his name and said I could ask for him if no one did call me back.

I was called at 6.10pm, although the agent I spoke to said my acceptance letter was not linked with my complaint yet (they received it on 05/09/11). She is going to escalate it to the refund team and would call me tomorrow with figures fpr my refund and a timescale.

It seems that agents are still offering varying information which I think is what is causing issues for the Llloyds staff on the phone, There doesnt seem to be a consistent message coming out to staff from those higher up as to what the situation is with refunds.

I have just spoken to an agent and she advised me that it is 4 weeks from the date your acceptance is received (mine was signed for in the office on 05/09/11 as I sent it special delivery) to getting the payment into the account so she said I should have payment by 3rd October but there is a backlog of about 2 weeks so it could be anytime between 3 October and the 17th October.

Could you please tell me the number you have called to get this information please? Had the offer letter on 25th July but was told not to contact unless i don't accept the offer.
    Thanks

It was 08456012683, got it from the Lloyds PPI information on their website. Took about 50 mine to get through. They did tell me that they have people working overtime this weekend on scanning the acceptance letters onto the systems.

I will warn you though the information been given over the phone does seem to vary as this thread shows. I do hope that what I was told is correct but I will wait and see.

    Good luck!
