Info for those claiming through LLoyds

Hi all,
I've received an offer letter and replied to it. I managed to speak to LLoyds last night and thought I'd share some points which may answer questions on here.
1. If you have several claims but only one offer letter (with one loan number on it) don't worry. I have this and the chap on the phone said they are bunching several claims under one loan number. It's always worth checking but this is what's happening in my instance.
2. If you have repeat offer letters. Apparently the printer often does this - again don't worry.
3. Timescales. Once you reply to the offer letter you'll get a letter detailing the amount and breakdown 4 weeks after they receive your 'yes' (the form you can sign and send back). Payment will then be made 4 weeks after you receive this letter.
hope this answers some questions.

When I spoke to Lloyds TSB on the phone they told me that I only needed to reply to their letter if I wasn't going to accept their offer. Otherwise it would be 6-8 weeks for them to put the money in my bank.
To add to your list, I would advise calling Lloyds TSB up and accepting over the phone (worth the hold time) then giving them bank account details so they don't send a cheque. They're meant to have sent me 2 letters now and none have come through.SPC = £15.54 #1413

Kerri,
How long ago was that? The letter I was sent was an 8% offer letter with a form you sign and send back. I remember reading on here that they introduced these to speed things up. Sorry to hear about the letters, though I sense this is a common issue.0 -
I spoke to Lloyds back at the beginning of August, they sent the first letter on the 12th August.
Still no letter.
I then spoke to Lloyds again last Monday (5th September), they said they'd send a second... guess what still no letter.
So I'd advise anyone going with Lloyds to not let them send a cheque, we all know the line "the cheques in the post" ;-)
The advisor might have got it wrong though and I might have to send them the letter back. I've sent them an email as well to make sure they are not going to send a cheque.SPC = £15.54 #1413

Kerri,
Do you still bank with LLoyds? I was under the impression that they transfer the cash into your account if you have one? Sorry to hear about the delay though. Must admit I'm anticipating a rough ride at some point.0 -

Yes same circumstances here.
Letter sent 12 Aug - never received
Copy of letter requested 31 Aug - never received
Copy of letter REJECTED 06 Sept - If two have not arrived - Why go again. At the same time requested that any sum due to be paid by BACS - As already pointed out - Cheque is or may be in the post!!
09 Sept Informed Lloyds TSB that Gladstone brookes will no longer be acting on my behalf as it is quite clear they have not been proactive in dealing with my complaint - even though I rang them on the 31st Aug to point out the fact I had received no communication during the time limits set by FSA. As A result I have terminated my contract with Gladstone Brookes Ltd with immediate effect.
Just wondering what your thoughts are on my letter to Gladstone Brookes Ltd - whom I deem to have failed me in their contractual agreement and have rescinded the contract as such. No doubt they will try to hang on using whatever legal jargon etc. Your views would be greatly appreciated.Termination of contract between G Es & Gladstone Brookes Ltd – XXXXX-1
Further to my telephone conversation of Friday 09 September with Mr (removed)I am rescinding my contract with immediate effect.
Despite a telephone conversation with one of your colleagues on the 31 August informing him that:
(a) No reply had been heard from Lloyds TSB and that they were not working in line with the requirements set out by the FSA and the time line of 31 Aug.
(b) The fact that the above mentioned colleague did not ring me back on Friday 02 September as promised with an explanation.
Because of the reasons above I deem that you have broken the terms of any contract that may have existed between us by failing to take any pro active action necessary, as clearly stated in earlier correspondence, to further my claim, even after being informed by myself via the above mentioned telephone conversation.
I reserve my right to withdraw from the contract at any time. And I would further ask that any charges to me shall be limited to what is deemed reasonable in the circumstances and shall reflect work undertaken up to the 09 Sept by your business.
I would request that you supply me with written evidence / copies of any contact made by you on my behalf with Lloyds TSB, including times and dates of any telephone conversations.
I will at the same time be requesting my contact at Lloyds TSB to confirm the above, as it was made very clear during my last verbal conversation on Friday 09 September that no such contact has been made by you or logged in relation to resolving my claim, and to this date I have still not received a final response letter.
I further request that due to the contract being rescinded that you no longer have my consent to act on my behalf, and as such will have no further contact with Lloyds TSB regarding this matter.0 -
Yorik,
I'll be interested to see how you get on with this. Presumably Galdstone know that the outcome is positive so will be unlikely to want to back out now. After I made my initial claim I had a phone call from one agency who said they can sort it all out for me, they even made out that they had my details 'on screen'. When I asked them how they had these they got pretty defensive. Anyway, said thanks but warned them not to call again.0 -
I will be pleased to keep everyone informed of the outcome. As can be clearly seen in my letter I am not trying to walk away with not making any payment at all. My wife has made a similar claim through Gladstone and has received a final response letter dated the 16th for the sum of £7272.62 Gladstone have already issued her with an invoice. For me however, any sum to me is nowhere near, but they have failed to act in a reasonable time and manner. Even now I have not even had a "Request read receipt" from my email sent well over 36 hrs ago, which all adds to their non proactive attitude, or maybe they dont want to me to know that they have received it at all? Very strange!!0

can i ask a question, i am chasing lloyds as i was told i would hear by the 31st august and have not heard a thing. I have called twice and been on hold about half an hour both times - its a bit awkward to hold as i have a toddler running around lol and was wondering how long you lot have been holding for as obviously youve all phoned chasing letters. How come it takes so long for them to refund the money - theyre quick enough to take it off you!!!0

My last verbal communication was yesterday evening Mon 12 Sept at 1725. I was on hold for 22 mins before speaking to an advisor. It is worth the wait to find what is happening with your particular claim.0
