Thats when you have to switch to courier...anything over 2Kg goes by courier unless it is really cheap then I use RM parcels (not much of a saving over the courier to be honest).0 -
Thanks you for comments. I was actually referring to the size of the paypal commission. Am I correct in thinking that it went up dramatically some time ago? I seem to recall a lot of negative comment some time last year.0

pinkgem wrote:I think what ebay need to do is have an easier/less involved way to report items with excessive postage, so if someone browsing sees an item with ridiculous postage they can just click on a "report" link or similar, then if lots of people reported it ebay might do something about it.
There is now a 'Report This Item' button at the bottom of each page which automatically puts the item number into the report. A significant improvement! My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
At the end of the day sellers should be able to charge what they like for postage as long as it is clearly displayed. I always take the total price into account before bidding and if the P+P is excessive don't buy. :dance:0

I could have sent by Parcelforce for £14 but that only had insurance up to £150 and its an extra £10 for up to £500 so would have cost £24. I have only ever used Parcelforce and UPS who are also quite pricey, what courier do you use?
I don't like using Royal Mail Standard Parcels for expensive items on ebay or amazon as there is no proof of delivery only proof of posting0 -
