well if my boyfriend said "let's go to my friends wedding" then i would expect him to pay as when we went to my friends wedding, i paid for the gift & travel.0

if it is more of the financial side he is worrying about are there any cheaper hotels you would be able to stop? as far as I am aware the travelodge are still offering rooms at £15 per night...0

I've paid the £100 deposit now so we would lose that I think but also the wedding is in quite a remote place & we don't drive so need to be as near as possible or we would end up spending loads on taxis - there isn't a travel lodge near enough - I checked - but thanks for the idea

I would drop the subject of the wedding. Leave it a couple of weeks, then suggest a different way of organising your finances - perhaps both salaries being paid into a joint account? My gut feel is that your BF is either a scrooge or hiding something - sorry to be so negative.0

I think maybe he had some "bad news" relating to money that day? Couldn't get money out cos overdrawn/been charged for late payment/etc so you bringing the subject up probably touched a raw nerve...
If he's going to the stag do is that in the same trip or is he going on his own for that? If it's the latter that's his choice and you definitely shouldn't be paying for him to go to that.
Before you do anything else I would say that you need to get this sorted and you want to talk to him about it because he said he wanted to go and that's why you've started organising things. You know that you've already paid a deposit and you probably shouldn't have decided without talking to him first but you're going to include him now but you need his help otherwise you won't be able to afford to go. Ask him in a calm straightforward way and see if you can get anywhere with it...
Good luck MCYou should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs
