Hi there,
My son has a 11 to 15 youth account. Will be upgraded to 16 to 18 on the 14th.
He's getting very frustrated as the card is unembossed and believe it or not but our local shop still uses one of those zipzap machines a lot(Their system goes down frequently)
Is there anyway he could qualify for a fully embossed card like I have?

He will get one if his internal score is good enough once he has a proper adult account. It is unlikely they will give it to him immediately. You can ask the branch to request one.0

You cannot order an embossed card for a youth account i.e. until he is 18.
Use a different shop or withdraw the cash to pay for it.0 -
Santander dont issue unembossed debit cards anymore.

Yes they do.
Apparently not theres a few people on MSE who have reported being told by santander they no longer issue them and have had there card replaced with embossed ones.

So you guys don't really think its going to happen then. I find it strange why they have these stupid cards anyway. Santander seems to be the only people who issue them. Other than prepaid card providers, which I can understand.0 -
Go to a better bank. Santander are bad news in my opinion. None of their staff sing from the same songsheet.
Gone from Poor to Excellent Credit. Proud of my recovery. Never going back to the sub prime!
