Not strictly true....The actual law is that the shop doesn't have to serve you at all if they dont want to and they dont have to give you a reason either.

sorry, but that isnt correct, it hasnt anything to do with which stores are local nor is it down to store discretion. there is a button on the tills which the SA can press which shows a list of all the conditional spend and save coupons which they accept, this includes Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Waitrose, Marks and Spencer, they no longer take Lidl or Farmfoods but did used to. The store managers have discretion as to whether they take internet coupons or not but not the conditional spends,it is Tesco national policy to take competitor coupons. Quite a lot of us on the printed coupon thread have emails/letters from Tesco head office confirming this and head office have rung stores in the past to inform them that they have to take the conditional spends. quite a few of us have been sent gift cards from HO after emailing/ringing about this.

I have argued this point twice now with one of my T's and have given up now. They refuse point blank to take morrisons vouchers and twice I've phoned head office who have phoned the store and they have said that because their is not a Morrisons in the vicinity they won't take them. Each time HO have told me their is nothing they can do as it is down to the individual store:(
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
  • I suppose that makes sense really , if there is a T and an S in your high street Mr T would much rather you come to them and use the S voucher to get your custom ... But if your nearest Morrisons is 20 miles away its not an actual competitor I suppose as looks like they want to 'attract' local custom away from the local competitors! ;)

I don't know anything about the T policies though , definitely NOT an expert on DTD etc and don't go in and stock up on 300 cans of ANYTHING! lol
