They say on their site they provide Free fully itemised monthly statements. Are they only accessible online?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
We have cchnged from BT and regrettd it. We are with talk talk, line and rental, and I don't think it's cheaper than BT any more. Also we lost our line for SIX days(inc internet) and I had a devil of a job to sort it out. And talk talk routed calls, eventually, thru my mobile...but changed me for it(w/out telling me this) Got money back but took a lot of phone calls. Am totally FED up with them, and want to go elswhere but dion't know where. My internet b/band is with f2s.com and it works on BT and talk talk line. Wd still like free eve and wkend calls (teenagers!) tho0

I used to be with TALK TALK . Their customer service leaves a LOT to be desired .I finished with them last sept and recieved a final bill in oct . Fine except they were billing me for octobers line rental . I contacted them " no problem " they said " we'll send you an ammended bill out " . The next letter i recieved from them was a final demand for payment . I contacted them again and told them i'd still not recieved the ammended bill . "sorry about that ,we'll send it out to you " they said .
No bill but in dec i recieved a letter from a debt collection agency requesting payment for the outstanding amount .
I get on the phone again , "sorry about that , we'll sort it out " they said .
Its been three weeks now and ive not heard from them . The end of the story ???????? i'll let you know when i know myself0 -
chun wrote:This sounds stupid, Heinz, is primus saver option2 suitable for my friend who doesn't know any thing about e-mails, ineternet etc.?
She is prepared to pay by direct debit.
I am trying to find her a cheaper option and have read your article but internet is out of the question for her.0 -

All you need to do is return to BT for line rental and sign up for Primus Saver 2 for FREE Evening and Weekend Geographical Calls.0 -

Heinz wrote:It'd be a problem - Primus use online only billing (and that's how you get to look at your itemised call logs if you want to).
Primus sends me paper bills for one of my BT lines.
The other one is only done online and I have to print the bills off myself (as I need a record of the bills)

My mother is currently with BT and her bills are dreadful, the calls comes to between £25 and £35 and then there is the service charge, whatever that is,at £30.I contacted Yourcalls.net and they say they can do a full package for £14.99 per month,so she would save up to £20 each month.Has any one dealt with this company and if so are they as cheap as they seem?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Theirs a recent post about them here :

Have a careful read of it.
Its not a great idea to move your line rental from BT for a number of reasons. If you want to help your mother reduce her bill read Heinz,s post here:

Most people still get quarterly bills from BT and line rental alone will be about £28.09 + VAT (£33) per quarter.
Add her average (£30) calls to that and your mother's BT bill will be about £63 per quarter.
Hence, yourcalls.net 'offer' of 'a full package' for £14.99 (I assume per month) is not a large saving. If it's including VAT, it's about £18/quarter (£6/month) less than her current BT bill and, if it's excluding VAT, it's £10.16/quarter (£3.38/month) less than she's currently paying.
I'd venture to suggest that, as utilitybroker kindly points out above, clicking on the 'HERE' link in my signature below will be a safer (read that other thread) and, if past evidence is anything to go by, a much better option for her.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
