Non-religious, but what music to walk in to?

  • My sisters walked in to Arrival of the Queen of Sheba by Handel and The Prince of Denmark's March by Clarke (aka the Trumpet Voluntary).

I've always thought this would be nice to walk in to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhuGfmoIv_M

I'd also really like to have this song, as I've got memories of my parents singing it when I was little: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haX5Yx89H2M

Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")
Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")

I'm all for the cheese -

H2B is walking in first to Boys are back in town (he'll be walking in with his 2 best men).

The my Maid of Honor and her son will walk in to something that they choose. Top of his list at the moment is Peter's Kays march (i'm hoping he changes his mind).

I would like to walk in to Bruno Mars and I think i want to marry you, but I also love the idea of Pink's Get the party started.

however my sister in law walked in to the instrumental of I wanna feel like somebodys watching me by Michael Jackson.

'(I always feel like) somebody's watching me' is how it goes and is about a man being stalked? Did she really have it for her entrance music?

I walked into "Ain't no mountain high enough" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz-UvQYAmbg

I'm having this gorgeous arrangement of the bridal march by Jonathan Cain...has that traditional element to it but nice and simple for a civil ceremony...beautiful pice of music that gives me goosebumps when I hear it

Quite like the idea of walking down the aisle to Ride of the Valkyeries (sp?) Unfortunaley noone would be shocked or surprised if i did - threatening to walk back to 'what shall I do with the drunken sailor'.

Kind of needs some sort of processional bounce to it - would love to include 'wraggle taggle gypsy' but not really the thing to play on yur wedding day. Bet to think of something Spanish - not to walk up to RoV will win but to depart with him - must think
  • In the registry office you aren't allowed religious music, so we opted for Clannad (instrumental or Irish)
  • We are getting married in registry office and I wanted 'Canon D Major' by Pachabel, but the register office decide on what you have and they have a set song to walk down to which is 'Queen Of Sheba' but I am relieved to say the song for signing the register is 'Canon D Major' so that's good.

I think something simple and nice, instrumental is always a good thing...but whatever you like

  • I'm walking to an instrumental version of Metallica's "Nothing else matters"

There's two mins before it gets heavy and it's a way to incorporate the metal music I love without frightening my nan.

She did and it took me months to work out what tune it was. I was humming it all day and in the end had to ask her. Apparently they met when it was on in the background.
