Here are the specs. It has only 1gb of ram and a 40gb hard drive, so it's VERY basic. Make sure you know the needs of any programs you want to run before getting this.I know this is going back to the first page, but I agree with Dave here, we recently disposed of 10 of this model (with better processors), because we could not find anyone who wanted them for free! Maybe I should have stuck them on here for £90 each
Sounds like someone could make a lot of money out this, but a forum or website where company's donate PC's to charities/schools the have registered an interest/requirement in old PC's0 -
Yet again people that don't work for a living get things cheap again. It's my tax that buys them a pc. If they can afford 1 of these & broadband then they are getting too much money so cut the benefits........ but then again it is against their human rights to deny them a pc & broadband cheap eh?
Ah to be perfect.
I hope you or somebody close to you never has a legitimate need to claim benefits.
I also hope you and yours never get sick and need medical care either. After all, it would be us lot who pay taxes looking after you, right?0 -
Sounds good to me as I was only stating a point. Some people just dont see what I was getting at & I was not having a go at the genuine people that need benefits due to certain circumstances I was trying to get accross that a lot of benefit people are on benefits cause the cant work due to the "cant be arsed policy". If I have upset any genuine people I apologise. End of rant
If you genuinely want to apologise for offending I suggest you go back and edit some of the very unpleasant posts you have made in this thread - particularly the ones where you have been insulting people with one or two word responses.
You might also apologise for taking this thread off-topic in a very unhelpful way.0 -

Do you know what forget it cant be ars*d with you all. You try & apologise to people you may have offended & that is not good enough. Oh Zanderman you are whiter than white I suppose jog on0 -

It is low spec but if its coming with a warranty for that price I think its not so bad.
This kind of performance would require you make a drink while it starts up and take a few biscuits to eat while it loads a web page, maybe leave the tv on so you dont get bored waiting
Should be good enough, I know someone using a pc with half the ram to do all sorts though thats win xp which uses far less then win70 -
Hi,
I'm new to the site so I hope I'm doing this right?
My daughter came home from school with an offer letter for a laptop at £189.99 or a desktop at £149.99.
They we're both Lenovo (who I've never heard of before) and I wondered if there were any techy bods out there who could let me know if they were good value please?
I'm after a laptop for my daughter for Christmas which is down as the following:
Lenovo R61i Pentium dual cpu, 2ghz, 2gb Ram, 160gz HDD DVD RW, Windows 7, office 2007, Antivirus software.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to get back to me.:A0
