Superdrug are selling their Soltan for £2 for 200ml and £4 for 400ml - they also have 30 and 35 factors. Bought some in case we run out on holiday like we did last year, Muse admit tho that P20 is excellent -ony needs to be applied once...0

Have a look in supermarkets and high street chemists for No Ad suncream. The name stands for Not Advertised!
It's a lot cheaper than brand name suncreams. It's not greasy, rubs in easily and smells quite nice. I've used it on me and my children for a few years now, and we've never burned.
Becles - where do you buy your No Ad from? I used this when I was living in Australia and it is fantastic. However, I've been trying to find this since moving back to the UK but haven't seen it anywhere! Another good make is Sun Sense, which I believe is an Aussie brand.
Since living in Australia, I never use anything less than spf 30 and try to use a higher factor on my face. Having seen how sun damaged most people's skin was there - I don't really want to tan anymore. A good cream is Neutrogena age shield sunblock and I believe this goes up to spf 70 (I use spf 55) but not sure how available this is in the UK.0 -
I swear by P20 and it is expensive, around £20 for 200ml in uk. It is cheaper in the canary islands, around 15 euros for 200ml. However, the other day I was in Matalan and they had once a day "calypso" sun screen, spf20, for £6 for 200ml. I smelt it and tested it and it appears the same as P20 and the ingredients are similar. Only difference was that the directions stated that you needed to leave it on for 90 mins before sun exposure. P20 used to have this instruction, but now it is only 15mins. I have freckles and my brother is a red head, and we never burn using P20. I also never really left P20 for 90 mins before sun exposure, but generally would rub it all over before getting dressed in the morning on holiday and then when it is dry, put on swimming costume and then eat breakfast (self catering so not in restaurant!) and when ready to go out lotion had dried in and it was all systems go!
For info my husband and I used 2-3 bottles on a 2 week sun/beach holiday using it every day for whole body. No need to reapply after swimming.
Think I might try the matalan stuff to see if it is any good though as much cheaper.0 -

I use P20 and have done so for a few years now. Despite burning easy, I have never had a problem with P20, and that was in 3 weeks of greek heatwave in July.
Although it seems expensive, as you only apply it once during the day (about 20 mins before you go out is advised IIRC), you do not need to keep reapplying so it does work out not that expensive in the long run.
The wife was able to find some equivallent product in Superdrug which was a bit cheaper. However last year I think we brought our supplies off Chemist Direct off the internet.0 -
