evilm i just got the nasty letter today. the interview is next week.while i was at dole office today to sign on was informed my claim had been closed. this may or may not be an unrelated incident as apparently a few weeks ago my claim was closed by an unknown user of their system and was reopened by my advisor. Today apparently it is closed again. I have not handed my book in , started work OR had any letters regarding the supposed closure of my claim.

Sounds like you might have someone using your NI number. Hope it all goes well for you.

Yes. You should attend the interview. Presumably the interview is about the past, not the future.

I dont know WHAT its about but as I will no longer be taking their dosh I presume its case closed.again if its to do with my voluntary work they know all about it. if its re anything else then they have been misinformed. if its re this thing with my claim being closed they already know its been done by some unknown staff member without reason and knowledge.as i said before nobody could make any claims about me as I know nobody to talk to or by name in the area and nobody knows I sign on but me and jobcentre. any overlookers would not know my circs or my name.

Reverbe: you need to go because if it is an issue about someone submitting "evidence" you are cheating the system then it won't go away and needs to be dealt with.

Yes, its nice that you no longer have to claim but for all of these appointments they make with people they find the "evidence" doesn't stand up against some do and therefore should result in either prosecution or a repayment order. So they won't just drop it.

Congratulations on the job and the good thing about that is that you can walk away afterwards knowing that, as long as all stays good, you don't have to go back.

/I think that makes sense - its too early in the morning today!

Thanks evilm but as I have said in my other posts there is less than zero chance of anyone submitting anything as I do not know anyone by nameie i have no friends/family or local contacts that know my surname, only I (and jobcentre)know I'm signing etc.I'm not cheating anyone out of anything so hope they will not crack on I am and force me to pay them the pittance the new job will be earning.

You will be fine I'm sure. But it is important to make sure the matter is closed correctly.
