Hi all
I went along to the meeting this morning to find out that somebody
Had reported me for working, the dates that they had given were actually
the dates I was in hospital, luckily I had took my discharge letter with me confirming it.
Some people are absolutely stupid the man that took the interview asked me to go in the room and take a seat I put loads of paper work on his desk for him to look at, then he looked and me and kind of giggled then said I'm sorry but I believe this has been a waste of time, then told me about the allegations brought against me, hahaha
Thanks for all your replys xxxx0 -
What you do now is make a written compliant of malicious harassment.
as proven the person informing on you has acted maliciously and made a false statement.
it needs to be held on record that this person acted with no other cause than to bring harassment.
You request that the department takes steps to ensure that this harassment does not happen again and request a report in to what action they will be putting in place to ensure this.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Sorry - where do you see the proof that someone acted maliciously?
Completely unrealistic suggestion to the OP in my opinion.0 -
told you - you were worrying about nothing.0

this letter thing is terrifying. I have just had one and I am now shaking and crying and worried when I genuinely havent done a thing wrong..i called the jobcentre and got a rude man there who was almost as scary as the letter and refused to clarify. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

(Reply to Reverbe not the OP btw.)
They seem to be related to "evidence" that people are taking advantage of benefits and cheating the system. As seen above we can already see two cases where a short discussion has proved the stated "evidence" to be not strong and potentially malicious if not just false and a misjudged situation.
I would calm down, take your recent bank statements with you and keep in mind all your recent diary events. They will talk to you about a specific incident or item (either ebay trading or a specific day where someone claimed you were working) and ask you to comment on your activities at that time/ on that site etc.
They unfortunately won't tell you the source of the "evidence" but will allow you to work to dispute it and as long as you work with them I would hope they would sort it quickly.0 -

just go to the interview, it could be just a mistake, i had 1 myself and i was worried myself as i hadnt done anything as i was honest with the JC. Turns out there was some kind of c0ck up which meant somewone else was using my NI number but who lived in another town and had savings of X amount and was trying to/was claiming claim job seekers when he shouldnt have been.0 -
Thats odd. In my case they were the ones who suggested i did voluntary work and have always been honest and open with them about this unpaid work they know all about. Pus just now had to go and sign on and for the second time in less than 2 months an unknown user has closed my claim and I have had no reason for it to be closed nor had any change to my claim. They seem to be related to "evidence" that people are taking advantage of benefits and cheating the system.
