THey bought in 1999! The £90K is only paper profit
I would market my house about £90K more than I paid for it in 2005, when it was falling down - but I have stopped counting the significant work I have done on it once igot past £50K or so!
They rented it out for 8 years, so I'm sure most of that is profit..... oh well I've still not heard back from the EA....... luckily patience is my middle name0 -

Of course its bloody relevant, they shouldn't have a debt to service on the property, whereas if they had recently bought and paid close to what were offering they mightn't be able to accept the offer, its clearly a better scenario for us that they only paid £40k.0 -

Are you a numpty? Of course its not their only concern, but it makes a massive difference when you can actually afford to sell, never mind, you're clearly baffled by this very simple and minor point0 -
I really want to contact the EA re the offer, I'm considering asking them to get us a viewing on a similar property, and just drop in the fact that we've made an offer through them for another property......:o0

I think it is reasonable for you to contact them tomorrow or Friday if you've heard nothing by then.
I wouldn't go straight to viewing other properties quite yet. For all you know, the sellers may be seriously considering your offer but having to investigate a whole load of other stuff financially before deciding whether they can afford to refuse or accept it. Rushing to view other properties gives them no reason for them to take you seriously any longer. I agree that it's not nice to keep you waiting for an answer but you might lose more than you gain by playing games this early on.
See what the EA says when you call, and you can then gauge whether to keep waiting, up your offer, or ask for details of other properties then.0 -
