Perhaps I should keep them and in time they will become collectible again.
  • Past few weeks I haven't sold much, Nope.

Sales have absolutely tanked for me. Unbelievable. I just can't sell anything anymore. This recession is terrible. My business and private sales have just tanked.

Anyone else noticing this depressing trend ?

Nope. Going mad. Two of the last three laptops on BIN haven't even been on 24hrs and the ones that finished tonight fetched more than I thought they should have. I've sold 7 laptops alone this week which is nearly what I did in the whole of July.

Been a 50/50 split between UK and European buyers. Maybe you should sell to EU rather than just UK?
  • I've made £57 this week selling sleeping bags and camping gear.
Shame my collectors Pok!mon cards aren't selling :(
    Total Debt: £1363.85
    O2 - £719.85/£719.85 * FLM Loan - £300/£300 * PaydayExpress - £235/£235
    Barclays - £109/£109 * HBOS - Paid!

I think your post sums it up perfectly. People are buying stuff of use and not buying items of frippery. So they're buying my laptops, your sleeping bags and camping gear and not buying Pokemon Cards, framed film cells, comics etc.
  • Well I just sold a cat ornament which is a true frippery if ever I saw one......... £103 :) Now that I wasn't expecting!
  • Hi - i love ebay. I make quite a bit of money selling the Morrisons Disney Cards but the "boom" ended after 3 weeks. I decided to list my sons extra Doctor Who cards but only a few sold the rest went without a bid or a watcher.

People are fikkle - whats hot this week - will be cold next week!

Christmas is coming. So people will be looking for stuff. I expect Lego to be hot (again) this christmas.

The only thing that really disappoints me is that Ebay seem to have done nothing to stop the fakes - even when you report stuff the seller is still there week after week selling stuff you know to be fake.

At the moment it is a buyer market.

My stamps seem to be still doing ok touch wood, but selling more to the far east now, especially Japan funnily enough, & China/Malaysia/HK/Oz etc.

Australia is still a huge market for me for all sorts of things.

I'm the same, some of the things they buy there you'd think it was a tiny island with no access to anything.
