Office Jobs in London

Hi,
My husband and I have been dreaming of living in London for a long time and decided to actually look into it further and maybe give it a go.
I have been looking in to places to live and jobs.
I have 10 years experience working in different office jobs.
I have been looking on job sites and there seems to be a lot of office type jobs but just wondering how easy/difficult it really is to secure a decent paid job in London. Looking at any kind of office job around salary of £25k.
Any advice/guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks

It isn't easy because there are already 8,000,000 living there many looking for work. And it is a horrendously expensive place to live.0

why not if you don't mind me asking?0 -
on £25K I wouldnt. Couldnt afford to live anywhere decent but that is my personal view.
In fact we earn close to six figures and I dont think we could afford london....0 -
Sorry I don't think I was clear in what I was asking. I was just looking to see if anyone knew how easy/difficult it was to find an office type job paying around £25k there seemed to be a lot advertised but just not sure how easy it is. This would be in addition to my husband salary.0

There will be a lot of competition for these types of jobs, unfortunately every grad who can't get a job as well as people who actually want to do this work ie trained secretaries (increasingly rare) are competing it seems. It's not impossible and that is a very reasonable figure to expect, you could get a lot more if you wanted though and had the experience. I've found companies expecting a lot more for the £ though these days, some really take the P***!
But I am the opposite, doing this work and living in London and I hate it! Be prepared for the miserable commuting and rude commuters!0 -

i'm with you on that on. Horrible nasty place where nobody speaks English; there's a lot of foreigners as well.
The handful of times i've been there I've been glad to get the hell out of there again0 -

It is possible to live in London on this figure, depends how you spend your money, I'd feel rich living on a 6 figure sum even, in fact I find it hard to believe anyone with a salary of that much would say it's impossible!0 -

Thanks, every job I look at I have the experience in everything they ask for I'm currently working as a personal assistant and the PA jobs that are about £25k sound a lot like what I am doing now except I seem todo more.
The only thing i really worry about is the amount of people with actual qualifications as I only have very basic qualifications.
As to those who hate London, everytime I visit there I just feel at home and don't want to ever leave I go there every chance I get I love it but I suppose everyone is different.0
