LHA is local housing allowance for people on low incomes to support you in paying your rent ( like Housing benefit, but for private renters)
One issue you will have with renting without a job is your credit checks. Its not unusual to pay 200.00 to be credit checked. The estate agents will want to see you earn 3x the rental amount to offer you the tenancy agreement. Therefore you will need take home of minimum 2400 between you to pass this on a 800pcm flat.
Without having jobs to pay for this, youll need to pay all your rent upfront, which im guessing is what the 15k is for.
Its definately worth playing around on rightmove and tfl to work out where may be a cheap but well connected place to live. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I have never rented before so I didn't realise that either the 15k was in case we didn't get a job for a few months but we will have to make sure we get jobs prior to going.
You have certainly given me more to think about I'm glad I posted here, thank you so much I may have realised things like that too late if it weren't for you.

Just to say I read in the Metro today about a huge PA/Exec assistant/Office manager networking/event show thing at Earls Court. If you want to go you register on this website

Honestly, pm me anytime.
I can recommend a fantastic letting agent ( finally after many tries!) but it all depends where you wanted to live obviously!
The secretarial show looks good. I dont know where you are coming from but if you book trains or coaches in advance you can get them really cheap, of course it depends how far away you are?
Travellodge still is doing £19 & 29 pound rooms.
Even if one of you has a job to come to then the rent could be paid upfront enabling the other person to find work.
As I posted there are jobs on the NHS page, as competition is fierce, you might want to start applying for jobs now, just to get a feel for how things are.
You never know you may be here before you know it, but its important to have some money stashed to help you along. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I just looked more at the fair, it seems to be a networking event as opposed to a recruitment fair...... ? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
