Fake store picture - The Bedcentre
enigmam
Is it just me or is this a little weird/wrong.
Looking for a bed and mattress, googled a few places and one store looked good. I wanted to try and see the actual mattress and bed rather than just purchase online, but this online company had a impressive looking showroom.
This is their website http://www.bedcentre.co.uk/about-us/
It looks a massive place so I thought it was perfect, lots of choice and beds in stock to look at etc. Drove a fair distance to get there and instead of a massive showroom, it was far from it.
This is the Bedcentre according to their website:

While in reality, it looks like......

When I asked about this, I was told the picture of the shop on the website was for illustration purposes only...
Luckily, the salesman in the shop was rude and overly aggressive, so I decided I would rather sleep on a bed of sticks and broken glass than handover any money.
But does anyone else think this is an odd thing to do?

You could submit a complaint here:

and see what they think.
On the complaint, I would also enquire if it is okay for them to state that they are "the No.1 UK Bed Store" as the photo you provided looks like they are more of an Arthur Daley" set up.0 -

pic looks shopped0 -
Yes - I think it is a bit odd.
(Do they do mail order, in which case it gives a different appearance.)0 -

They sell online as well as having a physical store.
The physical store picture is clearly a photoshop though, which gives a misleading impression. It's like me creating a website showing a massive warehouse with 50 staff outside, when in reality I'm working out of the spare room. You might think I'm more of a professional outfit than I actually am.
I just wished I looked at the picture properly rather than just glance and accept it at face value0 -
Looks like a Currys store, definitely wants reporting to trading standards to see what they say0
