    Dont know sorry :(

Anybody know if a driving licence is a valid photo id?

It is if you are on a UK domestic flight or a UK - Ireland flight with Ryanair

It is not if you are not flying within the UK or flying to Ireland

always wanted to go to La Rochelle. all the kids featured in my french textbook at school raved about their home town

    That was Tricolore, right?! :D
There's a new version out in Waterstones, still featuring La Rochelle!

 Well thanks to the original OP for this....we had a great day out yesterday....flew out from Bristol at 0755....a bit bumpy a journey but considering what I saw on the news last night about the weather all day we were very lucky.....no questions at check in , they didnt even ask for our reservation number, just took the names from the passports, landed in Dublin about 9am and caught the Dublinbus service just outside the terminal....5 euros for a day rambler ticket which allows you to use the buses all day, if you board the bus and buy a ticket , the fare is 5 euros each way, you can buy the ticket from a machine on the wall by the bus stop, and the bus is no.747 , it drops you right on O'Connell Street right outside the Info office, pop in and pick up a free map for the day,.....we went to visit Dublin Castle and St Patricks church and then did some shopping.....loads of bargains about....Dunnes Stores just off Grafton St. ...has a great sale and my OH got a gorgeous winter coat for 10 euros down from 70 euros, I bought one for my Dad as well, also bargains in Penneys.....same as Primark....I got 2 jackets from 19 euros to 5 euros each.....had lunch in Temple Bar...excellent food... and then found a pub just opposite the bus stop to sit in for an hour before retuning to the airport......the flight home was delayed 20 minutes but as I said earlier seeing all the really bad weather we were very lucky....

We had a great day and are doing it all again on Monday with the other 4p flights I booked...

I hope everyone else has such a great time as we did...and thanks again to the original OP....
