  • Just wanted to re-iterate that when I phoned to confirm my free flights, I asked her to check at least twice as I had used a wrong flight number to book my free flights. She confirmed that it was all 'perfect'. In fact she started trying to arrange car hire for me, but needing a people carrier it was a bit trickyThink everyone should stop worrying and old kiwi cobra should crawl back under his rock.

I have Dublin booked for 27th-29th Jan and found a booking system that requires 10% to reserve the room (for me £7.23+booking fee £1.95) the rest is payable on arrival. So in the event of anything being amiss or me missing my flights cos the kids are fighting! I will only lose the deposit. And if all goes well we def. have rooms.
If anyone is interested I can give details (family room £34-37 per room per night!)

looks like i'llsee you there, i'm going from stansted on the same dates

still not going to book any rooms though, just going to find somewhere when we get there!

My mum had booked a flight before I found out about this "offer" and she was offered the buy a second flight for 1p each way, her comfirmation detail and email are exactly the same as mine, I accessed her emails to check, and I have booked not using a 6 digit reference number...

I have travelled with Ryanair loads of times to and from Dublin and the confirmation I have now is exactly the same as all the others I have ever received....

Hope the beginning part makes sense...

  • Hi,
Have also booked these cheap flights, going to Dublin hubby and I for 4 pence!!!!!!!!!! (maybe) Just checked my reservation on Ryanair website and under the Terms and Conditions bit (on the reservation reply page) it says Fare Restrictions, what does that mean??? Also the payment all 4pence of it has not gone from my account.

stop worrying for crying out loud. if the loophole was painful for them they would have closed it PROPERLY.
  • Got flights booked for me and a few mates to dublin 5th feb till 8th.

Was it just me that went through a huge wad of paper trying to print out the god dam confirmation page? Grr

  • Well I was very sceptical of this offer but i used an old ref number and booked 5 return flts from stanstead to Reus (salou) for a long weekend for the grand total of 10p i removed prioraty seating as im traveling with children so get that for free and only taking hand luggage I even managed to book with an old electron card so that only cost me 10p in card fees.
I use ryan air all the time and the confermation looks identical to all the other ones ive had.
THANK YOU to the O/P we are now able to take my 3 year old and his sisters to PortAventura for his 4th birthday.

Anyone else noticed Ryanair has reverted to just a random 6 digit number for a cheap flight. no credit card no required.

  • With regard to the increase in taxes issue, I've noticed that Ryanair have now made an announcement on their website:

...UK Air Passenger Duty Rates - applicable per person for each departing flight from a UK airport which was booked before the 7th December 2006 for travel from the 1st February 2007 onwards...

    ...Please Note -
If your flight booking was made on or after the 7th December 2006 then the increased Air Passenger Duty tax has already been collected by Ryanair and you have nothing further to pay...

So, this confirms that there's no additional taxes on this particular offer (which was mentioned initially anyway, when the offer stated that it included all taxes) :D
