  • Has anyone who booked the 1p flights "legitimately" got anything written on their itinery to indicate the flight number/card details you used to get the 1p flights?

If not, then I fail to see how Ryanair can prove who did/did not book these flights properly

i think everyone is starting to get worried now. i refer to the law of contract, you paid, they issue confirmation. thats it. no mention of booking ref on the iteneray for the 6 digit code etc so it will be fine.

Presumably you show them your booking number, they bring up the details of the people booked, you show them you passport/photot id and that is it. They don't need to confirm booking/payment. They need to verify you are who you say you are.
The flights I have booked for half term, have exactly the same print out confirmation as the 'tax free' one. No difference at all.

When you check in wont they see the price of the flight on the screen? Im sure the managment staff will have told all staff to keep an eye out for flights less that £10 and then pass them on to the supervisers to deal with!

I have paid £2 each way for the Advance check in, my hope is that when i print out my boarding pass it wont have the price on! and ill just jump straight on! Has anyone used this service before, What do you actually have to do!

Still dont know what to do regarding paying for the Hotel. I can see this going horribly wrong, with a load of people out of pocket

I think you are all worrying far too much. The worst thing that could happen is you end up stranded in a foreign country with no way of getting home, or locked up in a Moroccan jail............

Right, just grabbed the bull by the horns, with 5 kids I have to be sure it is all ok...
I phoned the Ryanair customer services. I waited to get through then pressed '8' all other queries. I asked the girl if she could check my booking as I realised I had used the wrong flight details to book my free flight. She called up my details using my confirmation number. She verified me and confimed that the booking (and I quote) 'was made perfectly' and 'everything was perfect' I asked if there was likely to be any problem at the airport and she said none. I don't even need the print out, just the confirmation numbers and our photo id.
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I feel 100% percent happy that the bookings are fine. The girl was very helpful and checked everything.
    Hope that helps

  • I just got told on the phone that it "should" be fine, but just in case its best to bring a print out of your other booking ref as they are making random checks as some people have been found abusing the offer.

Have you seen it mentioned anywhere regarding other booking ref. I would honestly think a 'I never realised I needed that' would suffice.
  • Im of to stockholm on Thursday just wondered if anyone had any experience of any hostels over there and any recommendations?
Never stayed in a hostel before so dont just want to go for the cheapest and then realise I shouldn't have!!! lol

    Hello All

I am after a bit of advice, I booked a return flight for February for me and my other half to Dublin on Friday the 12th January; I have had my Travel Itinerary’s though by email. So at least that is a start. I also paid for Priority Boarding Tickets so will not need to check in with any Load luggage.

I used the Web link where you could put in a random code, to get though to the offer page, I Entered a six digit (number) code and got though fine (note: I did not note these numbers down either)

I am really worried about booking a place to stay & for the Car parking at the airport. I have read all this thread and have an idea of what advice people have given, But what I am worried about is even if people are allowed to fly at these cheap prices for a week, and everyone gives advice saying yes it works, go and book your hotels etc, Could Ryan air at any point just stop and say no? And refuse to let you go on the grounds of abuse of an offer.

My Flights for 2 people cost me a fraction over £10, I am looking to book a hotel for 2 people for the trip which is available for £100 for both of us, and I will also need to book airport parking at an estimate of £10-£30 for Three Days.

If I go ahead and book the Hotel and Parking at the total cost of £120, then turn up at the airport with my boarding pass I printed off the net, and ryanair insisted that I would not be able to get the flight because I “so call Abused” an offer, Then I would lose out on about £150.

I am really stuck on what to do; I can hardly afford this trip even at these ridiculously cheap prices. What could ryanair possible charge? For example when we get the airport to fly out to Dublin, Could they say You will have to pay the full price for your ticket there and back, What do they base there full price on? Could it be something stupid like £200 pound each way??

So many questions I know !! Many thanks in Advance

Well, if they have taken money from your credit/debit card and given you a confirmation email, then you have a contract with them. If they then refuse to allow you to travel, they have broken their contract and you would be able to use the 'small claims' court to get back your 150 pounds.

However, I personally would not pay for accommodation in advance. Try to find details of a B and B or somewhere, and either just turn up or ring the owner and ask them to hold a room for you. (Of course, if you then could not travel you would have to ring them and apologise so they could give the room to someone else.)
