That's what I thought but they had better send me an e mail about it then and not just surprise me on the day when I arrive at the airport. I'm not ringing their helpline it costs a fortune and keep looking at their website for information.0

This is nothing to do with the latest offer it's a normal flight I booked in November for a flight in March that will attract higher taxes since the governments announcement.0

Apologies, makes the offer even better though.
Its a bit odd RyanAir taking so long to close the loophole, hope they havent got a cunning plan to make money out of it, I can think of one possibility but dont want to give them any ideas in case their looking in on this website.
If people could report here when they have completed their free trip it would be good for all of us who have gone for this offer!0 -
I wouldn't fly on Ryanair not even for free.I ♥ MSE0

I find that strange considering they have the newest aircraft, the most well paid crews and so on and so forth.
I agree that some of their working practices and industrial relations are a little despicable. But I fly regularly between Ireland and the UK, always cheaply, and never with a single problem.0 -
with an airline that is going to charge its customers the extra
Some airlines have decided to pay the tax on behalf of customers, others have chosen to let the customers pay it.
I don't think it's fair to expect Ryanair to pay the additional tax on flights which did not have this tax when the booking was made. However, for those bookings taken AFTER Gordon Brown made his announcement I think Ryanair should have informed people at the point of purchase that this charge needed to be paid. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
Micheal O'Leary was on breakfast TV this morning and he stated that anyone who has not paid the extra APD will be refused and turned away, and you will not be able to pay on the day.
He also said emails would be sent out in the next few days.
Wouldn't suprise me that they charge you again  for useing a CCard/Debit to pay the APD fee.0 -
stop worring about the taxes, these penny flights are non taxable to us0
