Explain what? It will be billed at your provider's normal call rate to a UK mobile. The person being called pays the roaming cost.

    ... oh good!

Go ahead and cancel it then.
Cancelling the DD is always a good idea if you want to spend next few years working hard to have the default records removed from your trashed credit history.

You seem to have not learned the lesson. In the real life you are supposed to do some research sometimes. You were lucky this time (in France). Next time it will be different and you'll pay for your ignorance.

Just search the board for, say, 'direct', 'debit', 'dd', ...
  • What do you mean lucky ? The £184 will be coming out of next dierect debit -

I mean that even if they charge you, you can easily get the money back because 'Three' have no leg to stand on (assuming that you have not asked them to lift the limit and have not added any roaming bundle to the account).

However, instead of wasting your time on pointless posts here and 'informing' Three, you can do something more useful and stop this amount being charged in the first place. Get the facts ready, stop speaking to the incompetent low-level telephone CS advisers and try escalating your problem as high as possible. Again, some basic research is needed on how to do this.

You'll get a default and your credit rating will be trashed for 6 years.

Not an advisable thing to do. Up to you though.

I'm pretty sure the EU roaming cap only applies to data, OP ran up the bill on calls, they don't have a leg to stand on really

    I stand corrected then :o

For some reason I was under impression that the bill was mainly for data roaming. After second reading I see that there were no grounds for this assumption. My memory seems to fail me as I recollect some non-existing post with the details of the online bill .

big zero international bill = international bar problem solved
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
