Thanks girls. Lol at the tap shoes idea Megan!!!

We were going to have the sparklers at about midnight - it wont be dark till then lol! - and maybe just for the bridal party/our friends to have a few fun photos outside! Actually, the photographers will be away by midnight, oops!!!!!! I don't know - we could have them for the engagement shoot instead as that'll be in early spring, so if we time it right we could get a mixture of daylight, dusk and dark shots.

Re the City Slickers dress - I know, it is lovely I adore bateau necklines!!! What's your dress Roz? Xx

The sparklers will give great pics for sure! What time is the photographer there until? Light can be manipulated to make it look darker than it is, and actually the best pictures will be when it's not pitch black.

My dress is "Valley Mesh" from Monsoon. Think it's discontinued as I can't see it on the website, but here's a pic of me in it. Doesn't show the detail or the back off very well but this shows the strap detail which continues down the back and then there's a kind of sash... Argh confused because I REALLY like that Kitty & Dulcie dress, it was the video that sold it to me!!! ps. really sorry about the lack of make up and scraggy hair in the pic!!

Oh my word, your Monsoon dress is amazing!!!!! Beautiful detail!! I love it, i really do. If you wanted to see if the K&D dress is as nice IRL, check if they have a free return policy . Then at least you will know!

Re the sparklers, will see how they look in the engagement pics and decide then. I do quite fancy them though Think the photographers are there until about 10pm or so.

we had ours up until out first dance, and at 8.30pm, our photographer came up and asked up what time our first dance was, as they finished at 9pm!

so check that out with your photographer, before you assume anything

That is a gorgeous dress, the detail at the shoulders is just stunning.

They do 12 hours - from bridal prep to dancing. Can't imagine they'll be at my house before 10am! Lol

The one thing I'm regretting about a 12 noon wedding is that I'll have to get up early :rotfl: my hairdresser is coming at 7.30am!!! :eek::eek: is that even a time on a Saturday?!?!

Thanks for the support & kind comments re. the dress, I've lost a couple of pounds since the pic was taken (and by that I mean 2 :rotfl:) but after Xmas I'm going to get on it and try and get rid of the crinkling effect of the silk around my hips. K&D do returns and I'd only lose £12.95 p&p plus the cost of the return postage if I do try it, but it's double the cost of my Monsoon one... I guess I'm just worried about it not being special or "weddingy" enough, but then the reception is in a barn... I'm going to my mum's tomorrow so I'll get the dress out and see how I feel. Now I'll toddle off and stop hijacking your thread with my wobbles Wanchai!! :kisses3:

Hey, hijack away, the more the merrier and I love reading other brides' musings on here!!!

Do try on the Monsoon dress as it is a real beauty. Then see how you feel. I am soooo jealous of your barn wedding btw, I would have loved that! Sigh...

Mmm, our wedding is at 1pm on a Saturday so I will also be up at the crack of dawn lol! and my mum is a stickler for punctuality - she won't let me be late for the ceremony!
