How much would it cost you (i.e. royal mail plus packaging) to send 1 DVD? More than £1.25, I'm guessing.
In terms of stamps at the PO 1.09, it's generally more expensive to send 2 DVDs together (either 1.96 if you are lucky but usually 2.48 if the parcel tips over the 250g mark) as they generally will go as a packet (unless they are in slim-line cases). In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Is the right answer and, if you didn't I too would be leaving negative feedback
Negative feedback over 34pence? Really?! Are you really that hard up or that bitter about a few pence over stamp cost?In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
34p perhaps?
Why, when the seller also has to pay for the packaging? And that's without mentioning the time/fuel cost of getting the packages to the post office.
When I sell on eBay I don't expect to make a profit on P&P but I also don't expect to make a loss! Buyers on eBay tend to expect everything for ridiculously cheap prices anyway, so I don't think it's unreasonable for them to pay the actual cost of getting the items to them.
If a seller does not indicate that they will offer combined shipping then to expect combined shipping and to leave negative feedback because that expectation was not met is poor form.
I avoid eBay as much as possible now, as both a buyer and a seller, but especially as a seller. There are so many con artists and bad buyers on there now and eBay nearly always side with the buyers, offering very little protection for sellers.

One could ask the question back to the OP,
'Are you really that hard up that you couldn't afford to knock 34p off the combined postage?'
In reality though it is not about the amount, the important thing as a seller is to realise the importance of managing your customers expectations.
If he had explained to the buyer that he would only save 34p by combining postage, and passed that saving on in full, he would have sold his two dvd's and possibly sold more items to him in the future.
As it is, he has failed to sell two items and received negative feedback, was that really worth 34p?0 -
He will be able to get that feedback removed and will not have to deal with that particular customer again - sounds good to me! Some customers are just not worth delaing with - I'd be glad to be shot of this one!martinthebandit wrote: »As it is, he has failed to sell two items and received negative feedback, was that really worth 34p?0 -
[Don't quite follow the figures, but will accept the gist.]How much would it cost you (i.e. royal mail plus packaging) to send 1 DVD? More than £1.25, I'm guessing.

In that case that should be explained to the buyer and they should be sent out seperately.0 -

if only. i was told by 2 operatives yesterday that feedback is now only removeable if there has been no comms at all from the buyer after they bid/buy it now, the buyer does not pay and they are issued a strike.Just phone ebay , get the neg removed and block buyer.
however if there has been no comms at all from the buyer after bid/buy it now, the unpaid item process is started and they then email the seller eg requesting to cancel the bids/buy it now, then the feedback stays because they have 'responded'0 -
why, when the items are already discounted as explained? read the op.martinthebandit wrote: »One could ask the question back to the OP,
