civil partnership question?

Do you want your family there? Is there an issue with them and your OH not getting on? I see you say 'we', but that very easily can mean 'he' where weddings are concerned.

If you want them and he doesn't, this might cast a shadow over your partnership, especially if you keep quiet about your feelings and potentially have to deal with upset relations who would be very happy for you.


One of my friends from school has just had his wedding. Cast of thousands. Practically on the point of unicorns and angels trumpeting Here comes the Bride down the aisle. They loved every moment of it, even his husband, who wasn't really into the idea of doing anything until he realised how important it was to my friend that it wasn't hushed up like a secret tryst.


If it's important to you, then talk to your OH and explain.

Thank you all for your response they were really helpful - we still haven't decided what to do but will probably tell them a couple of days before the registration and then celebrate with them after we return - we have a couple of months before we make up our minds!!
