I actually wrote that 90% of carded deliveries are collected, NOT 90% of deliveries are carded. Can you argue with that?

    I probably could
the online redelivery in my old office circled around 20 pages a day for re deliveries outwith Christmas.
    however whats your issues?
you have an issue with not being in,items being left or collecting them?
  • Well yesterday I looked on my Isme account and it said an item had been delivered and left in a safe place so I panicked a little throughout the day. I mean my area is a safe area I have lfet my keys in the door and luckily they have been fine.

I got home in the dark and look by the back gate where the card said it was and it wasn't there so I started to panic even more but then I was looking on the ally way part of the back gate and when I looked in the back garden there it was safe and secure in my back garden.

Well done Yodel! It was a safe place afterall

  • Eventually after a few hitches the bed we had ordered from Dreams was delivered last weekend by the infamous Yodel. However, upon unwrapping the bed it was clear that it had been used as rugby practice somewhere along the way and the headboard was severely damaged.

Yodel were supposed to come and collect the damaged bed today and would phone between 8.30am and 10.30am this morning to confirm the time of collection.

Needless to say the call wasn't received so we have spent a fruitless morning trying to get some sort of resolution from Dreams to get this bed picked up and our money refunded.

I am beyond angry and so frustrated that no-one wants to help resolve this situation:mad:.

Can anyone suggest anything (other than putting the bed through the window of the Dreams store, which I am seriously considering at the moment)?

    Hmm.

I was waiting for a delivery from Sports Direct which, according to the website, was due for delivery this morning.

I was awake at 7.00 and the website said "Out for delivery". At about 12.00 I went out to the shops but my wife was at home.

On my return at around 1.00pm I have checked the website and it says "Attempted delivery at 8.14. Left with neighbour at No: 23"

As far as I know that flat is currently empty and anyway I was up and about at 8.14.
  • Three working days is too long for an express delivery. I still have not received a reply to the complaint sent on 19th November - now 26th November - so have resubmitted it.
  • yodel-if you're reading this, still waiting for a call back for somebody to discuss my complaint...

Just to reiterate something from this thread.... When you order online your contract is with the shop, not the courier. Complain to the shop!

I actually have no issue with Yodel as in my area (1) the driver always leaves our parcels safely, and (2) even if they can't leave them (signature required) their depot is only 20 mins away.

Yesterday, City Link attempted to deliver to us. I got really wound up as:
    1) Their 'reschedule' service online only offered me three days in which they would redeliver - all days when I'm working
    2) Their depot is 57 miles away!!! A 2.5 hour round trip - I don't think so.

Tried calling City Link to complain and try and reschedule for a date when I'm not working. After half an hour in the phone queue, I gave up.

I then called Amazon who were really sympathetic and helpful. They said they would call City Link to arrange the reschedule for me. I asked them to phone me back when done to confirm. Amazon called me back literally 5 minutes later to say it was sorted. Yet to see if the parcel turns up on the day it's meant to, but Amazon obviously have a hotline to City Link which is far more efficient than us queuing in City Link's so-called customer service line.

So, just from my limited experience, complain to the shop you bought from. If you buy online, you're buying a product delivered. Until it's in your grubby mitts, it's the shop's problem. :D

Sound advice - and thanks for the Amazon tip. Amazon, as always, know exactly how to keep their customers coming back for more.

Nobody's going to want to lose an Amazon contract, and it's always worth feeding back to them if you've had problems - or if you've had good service. I love it when they use DPD (which isn't that often - it's usually Yodel or City Link) because DPD are the only peole I know who'll always send an email/text with an anticipated one hour delivery slot. Incredibly useful, and they're always bang on time.
  • Believe me Dreams are also getting it in the neck from me! However, Yodel were supposed to come and pick up the damaged goods today between 1pm and 5pm (it took 6 phone calls to Dreams to actually get that far).

Needless to say that we still have a damaged bed in our possession as Yodel couldn't be bothered their backside to turn up!

    Grrrrrr!!!!

p.s. Package from Amazon was delivered as promised. :D

As I said - half an hour attempting to resolve the problem direct with City Link (before hanging up on their phone queue). 10 minutes to sort out via Amazon. :D Not only that but you don't call Amazon - they call you so it's free!
